There may not be live sports going on at the moment, but that doesn’t mean you can’t gamble on future live sports!

Caesars Sports Palace released their projected win totals for the 2020 NFL season, with the Dallas Cowboys slated at 9.5 wins.

9.5 is the fifth highest total, putting the Cowboys in elite preseason company. The Cowboys fellow division rival, the Philadelphia Eagles are also at 9.5 wins, suggesting there are two potential playoff teams in the NFC East. Though given the division’s history, I’m sure one of them will fall off pathetically.

Dallas finished the 2019 season at 8-8, failing to break the 8.5-9.5 projected win total depending on the book you used.

The Cowboys were able to keep much of their offensive star power around during the offseason, but the loss of center Travis Frederick will certainly hurt their chances going forward. Defensively, Dallas saw both Byron Jones and Robert Quinn walk out the door. They did add veteran presence to their interior defensive line, however, in both Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe. Both cornerback and safety should be high on the draft day priority list, but Dallas can certainly use an influx of talent on the edge as well.

We’ll see what they ultimately do in the draft, but 9-10 wins does feel realistic for the 2020 Cowboys as of right now. Still, it’s hard for me to see this roster as among the NFC’s elite teams, making me think the under may be the best bet.

So where would you put your money? Over or under?
