Cowboys’ young players will only get better
Jason Garrett and Company have done an outstanding job putting together the roster for the Dallas Cowboys. If you take a step back and look at what he has created, you will notice that the team is made up of a lot of young promising talent.
First-year players Ezekiel Elliott, Dak Prescott, Anthony Brown, and Maliek Collins will all be starters next season. This is shaping up to be one of the best draft classes the Dallas Cowboys have had in recent memory, possibly ever.
That’s not even mentioning the fact that Jaylon Smith and Charles Tapper will both be making their debut for the organization next season after missing all of 2016 due to injuries. Both Smith and Tapper could also earn starting jobs, giving the Cowboys defense not only two talented players, but making them more explosive/athletic on the defensive side of the ball.
Byron Jones just completed his first year at safety, and that experience will only make him better next season. Which by the way is encouraging, because he was really good this season.
And let’s not forget about La’el Collins, who started the season as the starting left guard. An unfortunate toe injury landed him on injured reserve, but he will be 100% ready to go for the 2017 season.
Collins is a more athletic player than Ronald Leary and should make an already really good Dallas Cowboys offensive line even better.
So, as you can see, there is a lot of encouraging reasons why you should hold your head high as a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. This team has built something special and should be back in the playoffs next season.
Even though the loss to the Green Bay Packers really hurt still, we can all take solace in the fact that this team is going to be really good for years to come.

I completely agree with you. While this is a difficult time and was a hard loss to swallow. There is a lot to be excited about moving forward. This team, at least on offense, is set to contend for years to come. If they can add a couple more difference makers from this draft (EDGE and CB) they will be in a great position moving forward.

Hoping, Smith can pick up, where he left off @ Notre Dame. Read somewhere, that HOF D. Brooks, Tampa Bay linebacker, who flourish in this system, will be working with Smith and his fellow linebackers, this off-season. It’s just a matter of time, when this defense will be a top 5 defense again.
If Smith can return to his former self, he already takes this defense to another level. Then add in any free agent signings and the 2017 draft class, you have the makings of an improved defense. It is definitely something to be excited about.
