Offensive Center

Travis Frederick – 6 years remaining on a 6-year, $56.4 million deal
Joe Looney – 1 year remaining on a 2-year, $1.68 million deal

Travis FrederickEvaluation: Travis Frederick is arguably the best center in the entire NFL and he is definitely paid like one of them. I’m not sure many people fully grasp how important he is to the offensive line and how much he does pre-snap to help set up pass protection.

If anything were to happen to Frederick this team would be in trouble because the only player behind him on the depth chart with any game experience is Joe Looney.

Even though I have Looney as the backup center, his best position is probably at guard. Because of that, the Cowboys could try to find better backup during the off-season, but with so many other more pressing needs they could decide to stick with the status quo for now.
