There are three players that are very high on my list that are non-defensive players but could be huge contributors to this team moving forward. There is a quarterback, running back and wide receiver that all deserve a really close look despite the Cowboys’ obvious need among the defensive line. While they are all skill positions, let’s not act like this offense exposed opposing defenses week in and week out. You could argue that the addition of Scott Linehan could very well change this, but the fact remains that they left their depleted defense high and dry on several occasions.

Maybe a good philosophy to explain this style of thinking is a good defense is a really good offense. The Cowboys should look to upgrade their defense but they also need to upgrade their offense. Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett have done a good job thus far infusing youth on their offense with Tyron Smith, Dez Bryant, Gavin Escobar, Travis Frederick and Terrence Williams. However, they still have plenty of room to bring in some more youth and these three players could definitely help in that regard.
