2025 Dallas Cowboys Pre-Draft Visits Are Big Time

The 2025 NFL Draft prospects heading to Dallas for a visit show what the front office and coaching staff will focus on to build this team.

The new coaching staff knows what they want to build up in the upcoming draft, and the vision is already coming into focus.

Head Coach Brian Schottenheimer made it clear he would like to build the team from the outside to the inside.

His team-building philosophy is that to win games, you have to score touchdowns and get sacks, and he is not wrong.

This philosophy can be seen with the visitors headed to Dallas or who have already visited.

Let’s take a look at the pre-draft visitors so far.

Skill Players Are A Priority

After looking at the list of players coming in for a visit, the front office seems to be listening to the head coach.

13 out of the 20 visits set up so far are skill players, so working from the outside in like Coach Schottenheimer wanted to do could happen in the draft.

Several of the players on the list above will need to be taken in the draft with the Cowboys’ first or second round pick as they are some of the top players in the draft.

Players such as Ashton Jeanty and Tetaiora McMillan may not be available when the Cowboys draft at pick 12, but anything can happen in these drafts.

If the Dallas Cowboys were able to get either one of these players with the 12th pick it would transform the offense.

Replacing the departed Jourdan Lewis and getting good depth behind the injury-prone Trevon Diggs is also being looked at in this draft.

Shavon Revel and Hudson Clark are two of the secondary players coming to visit. While Revel may need to be an early pick, Clark should be available in the later rounds.

Revel, however, is recovering from an ACL injury and could also fall down the draft boards if teams feel the knee is not progressing. Dallas should have the inside information on this injury as their team doctor performed the surgery.

Big Boys Up Front Being Looked At

The visitors coming to Dallas will also feature some massive men who do their work on the inside.

Alfred Collins, from the University of Texas, is a massive player who is a great run-stopper. He also has some juice to get after the quarterback.

The other defensive line prospect coming in is Shemar Stewart from Texas A&M.

Stewart would play defensive end primarily for the Cowboys, but could be moved around the defense due to his athleticism.

Having a weapon like Stewart teamed up with Micah Parsons would create havoc fro offenses.

The offensive line will also be looked at and both players coming into visit have some versatility, which is what this front office likes to have in an offensive lineman.

Kelvin Banks from Texas and Jonah Savaiinaea from Arizona are both coming into the draft as highly sought-after linemen.

Banks is primarily a tackle and Savaiinaea has experience at guard and tackle. Both of these players are physical and smart.

Having them coached up by the new offensive staff could pay off big for the Cowboys offense.

Overall, the visitors coming in show a pattern. The Cowboys are looking for playmakers in the upcoming draft.

Do not be surprised to see a wide receiver or running back taken with the 12th pick.
