Inside the Star and its parent network, Slant Sports Digital, may at various times engage in any number of activities with regards to sales, promotions, marketing, advertising, and content distribution. Below is at least a partial list of relevant disclaimers and notices pertaining to these activities.

Ownership of Website and Content
Star Membership Subscriptions
Star Membership subscriptions (herein after referred to as “Sub(s)”) are paid monthly subscription plans to remove advertising while a Reader is viewing the site, InsideTheStar.com. Subs are in no way to be construed as payment for content, including all text, graphics, images, videos, and audio; and in no way permit a Reader access to any additional content not available to non-subscribers. Subs grant access to 1 special page, a Member Dashboard to view and manage their Sub, and this page only offers content toward that end. All subs are automatically recurring, and may be renewed on a monthly to yearly basis, and at various other intervals in between, depending on the specific term of the Sub purchased. Refunds are not issued for Sub purchases, under any circumstances.
You may cancel your Sub at any time via the Member Dashboard, or through the PayPal account used to purchase the Sub. Upon cancellation, you will cease any future renewal of your Sub, without any refund or revocation of payments already processed. If you should cancel your Sub before your next renewal date, you will continue to receive Sub benefits until your previously scheduled billing date to ensure you receive all benefits already paid for.
PayPal Subscription Management
In order to purchase a Sub from Us, you must have a PayPal account. Billing for Subs is managed via PayPal’s own subscription management services and, therefore, can be managed via PayPal’s website. We have provided “quick access” links for common actions, such as cancellation and resuming suspended Sub, for your convenience. It is entirely your responsibility to ensure your PayPal account is in good standing, according to the terms of the PayPal service and as set by PayPal. Furthermore, by purchasing a Sub from Us, you fully indemnify Us of any possible liability with regard to your PayPal account, and any and all accounts you may have connected to your PayPal account. We are only responsible for actions and results that happen on and from InsideTheStar.com.
Sub renewal is handled entirely by PayPal and under your explicit authorization, meaning only you are able to control your Sub. We do not request or accept access to any Reader’s PayPal account, nor do we store any sensitive information about Readers.
We do not offer any content subscription services. All content on InsideTheStar.com is freely available to anyone with an Internet connection.
Sub Account Information
Upon successful payment for a Sub, you will need to create an account on InsideTheStar.com to use the Sub. You must be logged into your InsideTheStar.com Star Member account in order to use any benefits of the Sub. Among the information We store in your account are your first and last name, email address, and whatever password you chose for your account upon registration. Your information is stored in our database and only accessible by InsideTheStar.com Administrators. Your information will never be sold or shared with any third parties.
Star Members and our Email Mailing List
We offer both Subs and an email newsletter to Readers. Subs are a paid feature to remove ads from your browsing experience on InsideTheStar.com; the email newsletter is a free daily digest of content on InsideTheStar.com sent to your inbox. Purchasing a Sub does not subscribe you to our email newsletter, and subscribing to our email newsletter does not purchase or otherwise entitle you to a Sub. They are entirely separate features.
Sub accounts are per Reader. Readers are expressly prohibited from sharing their login credentials to friends, family, or anyone else, for the purpose of viewing InsideTheStar.com without ads. When you purchase a Sub, you allowed to log into your account on up to 5 devices simultaneously in any 30-day period, in order to receive your benefits more conveniently across your own devices (mobile devices, portable computers, and desktop computers at home, work, and other places where you tend to view InsideTheStar.com).
If you exceed the allowed limit of 5 devices in a 30-day period, your Sub account will be locked for 1 hour. During the lock, you will not be able to access your account, however, you will be able to view the site with ads enabled. After the lock, please use a device already logged into your account to view the site ad free. If you have more than 5 devices in your household, We suggest you purchase a second Sub for another adult in your household, as Subs are not intended to be shared throughout a household and such use will not give cause to bypass the 5-device login limitation.
Violation of this limitation is grounds to suspend or terminate your Sub account, with or without notice and without any refund, at the sole discretion of InsideTheStar.com Administrators.
Google’s AMP and Star Membership
If you are accessing the site and see “/amp/” in the URL, you are viewing Google’s Accelerated Mobile Pages-compliant version of the site, or AMP. The AMP project assigns a specific set of rules for what to display on a web page and how to display it, in order to achieve greater speed while browsing sites and to reduce the overall bandwidth required. Subs are not valid on AMP-compliant pages. To utilize your Sub, you must view the full desktop version of the site (without “/amp/” anywhere in the URL), which is optimized and responsive for mobile devices. To switch from the AMP view to the regular view, simply delete “/amp/” from any URL in which it appears on InsideTheStar.com. You will most likely only ever access an AMP view if you came to Us from a Google service, like Search or GMail. Accessing an AMP view does not restrict your ability to view the regular site.
We engage e-commerce services provided by third parties. In the practice of employing or otherwise distributing those services, we may incur a profit from the use or sale of said services. With respect to any page on this site of or relating to the “shop” we participate in an on-going merchant agreement with FansEdge, Inc. to promote licensed NFL merchandise and refer sale of products to FansEdge for the entirety of the transaction. FansEdge, Inc. is responsible for the advertising, sale, and warranty of all transactions. We are not liable for any damages, real or perceived, that arises out of your use of their services beyond the confines of this site.
