With the Dallas Cowboys having taken their final curtain call of the 2023 season it’s time to look ahead.
In 2024 the Cowboys will be taking on the four teams from the AFC North again. The last time the division came up in the rotation Dallas finished 1-3.
The lone victory was a 30-7 win at Cincinnati. In 2016, Dallas swept the four games after going 3-1 in 2012 with a two-point loss to the Ravens.
The Cowboys will host nine games this year while only hitting the road eight times.
The actual dates of the 17 games will be released in the spring, likely after the draft to be held in Detroit on April 25-27th.
The NFC East Games
The Cowboys will play their regular home and away series with their three NFC East rivals.
Dallas will come into the season as the reigning division champions. The Cowboys were 5-1 against the division in 2023.
They will also look to become the first team to win consecutive NFC East divisional titles since 2004. The Eagles had won four straight from 2000-04.
None of the four teams have managed to defend their title since.

The Cowboys will get three of their AFC North opponents at home in 2024, including the Ravens and cross-state rival Texans.
The Bengals will be the third AFC North visitor.
The Lions, Saints, and Buccaneers will round out the home schedule. It will be the third straight year the Lions will visit AT&T Stadium.
The Cowboys won both of those games and have a six-game win streak against Detroit.
The Ravens are the only visiting team in 2024 that has a winning record all-time against the Cowboys. However, the teams have split the only two games played in Dallas.
The Texans have never beaten the Cowboys in Dallas.

The 49ers and the Browns hold winning all-time records overall against Dallas.
Wins over the 49ers and Steelers would put the Cowboys back to .500 in road games against both teams. The Falcons will be looking to get to .500 with a win at home over Dallas.

This Place Again?
You would think the NFL’s schedule maker could arrange things so that teams don’t play each other in the same stadium on back-to-back years.
The Lions and 49ers games should be juggled so that Dallas travels to Detroit and hosts the 49ers this year instead. But the NFL doesn’t consult with me.
