Projected Value:  4 Years, $20 Million

Asamoah was a value for the Chiefs in the 2010 draft but lost his starting job to Branden Albert. His benching wasn’t anything against Asamoah, who is a solid run and pass blocker with an incredible ceiling, but was instead due to the fact that Branden Albert is just really freaking good.

The Cowboys have questions on the interior line as they continue to build a young, strong core that can carry them through the next decade. Leary has improved but Bernadeau is due north of $4 Million each of the next two years.

Asamoah would be relatively expensive but at just 25 years old would sure up a glaring hole in the interior line and let the Cowboys focus strictly on defense through the draft.

  1. Yup! Going to be hard. The League upped the CAP to $130M which will be helpful! The team has some options and will be able to add a player or two but they’ll have to be thrifty and smart! As you see, I didn’t pick up too many over-priced FA’s, I tried to keep it sensible, cheap and worthwhile.
