6. Offensive Tackle

CURRENT: Tyron Smith, Chaz Green, Emmett Cleary, Byron Bell

As mentioned already, Dallas will be letting the trio of Bell, Cleary, and Green compete to replace the retired Doug Free at right tackle. Both Cleary and Green looked good in limited playing time at left tackle last year while Bell has more experience from his days in Carolina and Tennessee.

In spite of these options, the Cowboys would be justified to add another OT prospect. Bell has experience but is probably better suited to play guard. Green has trouble staying healthy and Cleary, undrafted in 2013, has yet to show what he can do with full-time starting work.

Leaning heavily on the offensive line for their dominant run attack and to keep things smooth for Dak Prescott, Dallas can’t afford to take Free’s departure lightly. If they have doubts about their current replacement options, a pick spent on a right tackle option would not go to waste.
