After what felt like an eternity of waiting, we have finally made it to Draft Day. While we still sit hours away until the are on the clock, I wanted to give a Buy or Sell verdict on the latest rumor that came out Wednesday claiming the franchise is reportedly “desperate” to move up into the Top-14.

With that in mind, check out the rest of the piece below.

If the Cowboys do move up, they can land a franchise-changing player.

As everyone knows, one of the biggest topics heading into this Draft was if it made sense for the Cowboys to try to trade up in the first round. While some were all for it, others argued that given the number of holes they needed to fill on the team, the significant draft capital they would lose didn't make sense.

However, after Cowboys Insider Mike Fisher tweeted about the rumor, things were starting to connect that the front office is for real about making a move.

Don't believe me?

Just two weeks ago, you had come out in a press conference that he would be willing to move up for the right player if the right prospect fell to them. This would be the first time that any draft talk trade was brought up and people went bonkers with the hypothetical trades they could complete.

Next, you had both Stephen and Jerry Jones talk about their draft strategy in their Pre NFL Draft presser on Tuesday and (Jerry) Jones said: “they should be thinking out of the box”–in regards to draft scenarios.

Additionally, (Stephen) Jones said they only had fourteen players with first-round grades on their board, and if we go off the “Top-14 Rumor”, it gives the rumor more credibility. While I admit I'm not NFL-GM qualified (I am though in Madden) to give you the answer to whether they should go for a trade, I'm just pointing out the facts that things are adding up for an actual trade materializing.

I admit some people could view all this trade-up talk as smoke, but I'm riding the wagon and BUYING THAT THE SMOKE IS REAL. Like it or not, the front office wants to make some big moves happen. Yes, they could wait and hope for a Guard or Tackle to fall, but based on most people's beliefs– no one know what's going to happen tonight, so we could see some high-rated prospects slide.

And because of that, my advice is just to sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Because no matter where they pick you can't lie and say you won't be watching.
