The Dallas Cowboys have selected Defensive End Joe Jackson from Miami with a fifth-round pick, 165th overall, in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Just seven picks earlier, Dallas drafted an ironically-named teammate of Joe’s, CB Michael Jackson. This now makes three defensive players in addition to DT Trysten Hill in the second round.

There will be a lot of guys competing at the DE spot now in 2019. We know DeMarcus Lawrence and Robert Quinn have roster spots, but Jackson will now be competing with Taco Charlton, Kerry Hyder, and Dorance Armstrong for snaps and perhaps even a job next year.
Joe is considered a raw physical talent who projects better as a strong-side DE than an edge rusher.
Welcome to the Cowboys, Joe Jackson!

I wonder if CB Jackson is slated to play S instead of CB. I remember when we drafted Darren Woodson who was a LB in college & made him a S. It worked out quite well for us.
Waste of yet another pick. With Hooker sitting there who maybe could’ve salvaged this terrible draft, it looks even worse
