Cowboys Offense Way Off, Trailing Broncos 16-0 at Halftime

The don’t look themselves so far in Week 9. They’re trailing the Denver Broncos 16-0 at halftime, struggling particularly on and risking an ugly home loss.

The game opened with a 54-yard kickoff return by but the offense failed to capitalize, losing possession on a failed 4th-and-1 rush attempt by . After the forced a punt, the offense was again stymied on 4th-and-2 when missed with a poor throw.

The Broncos offense then came to life, scoring two touchdowns and a field goal on three-straight possessions. QB has throw for 154 yards and a touchdown, a 44-yarder to WR Tim Patrick, while RBs and Javonte Williams have combined for 96 rushing yards already.

One bright spot on defense is LB , who has 1.5 and a few other big individual plays. DT has also stood out several times with backfield disruption.

Hopefully some offensive players step up in the seocnd half. Dak Prescott is only 5-of-12 for 75 passing yards. The offense is struggling with LT out and playing in his spot, forcing Dak into several rushed decisions and off-balance throws.

The Broncos will receive the ball to start the 3rd Quarter. The score is still close enough for the to come back, but their winning streak is being threatened like never before this season.

  1. Typical….. this is what happens because ‘Jerruh’ refuses to hire a real HC. Going for it on 4th down twice and getting neither one was idiotic. Play the field position game… This HC looks like he learned NOTHING when he was fired by GB. He just tells ‘Jerruh’ what he wants to hear.
