CeeDee Lamb was King of Fantasy Football in Week 17 1

After the most complete win of the season last week against the Washington Commanders, the Dallas Cowboys now find themselves in complete control of second place in the NFC East.

They are 3-3-1 and trail the Eagles by two games, but with a lot of football left, this game on Sunday in Denver could be a true turning point for this football team.

The Broncos’ defense is one of the best in football, and the Dallas offense is the best in football, so I think it will be a battle between these two.

GAME INFO:

Date: Sunday, October, 26th | Time: 3:25 CT

Location: Empower Field at Mile High, Denver, Colorado

Moneyline (ML): Broncos – 185 (bet $185 to win $100) | Cowboys + 154 (bet $100 to win $154).

Against the spread (ATS): Broncos – 3.5 (+100) | Cowboys +3.5 (-120).

Over/Under (O/U): 50.0 (O: -120 | U: -120).

Who Wins The Battle?

This game is going to be about the Dallas Cowboys offense against the Denver Broncos defense.

Dak Prescott has an NFL-high 81 total QBR this season, the best by any QB in the first 7 games of season since Matthew Stafford in 2021; the Broncos’ defense has allowed a 45 Total QBR this season, the lowest in NFL, per ESPN Research.

That is the stat: who is going to win this battle, and with the game being in Denver, I feel like the Cowboys’ offense should come away with points on every single drive if they hit the 50-yard line.

Brandon Aubury in that state could hit a FG from 70 yards, not even kidding. The Broncos’ offense does not scare me, sure, they scored 33 points in a quarter against the Giants, but they just have not been good for an entire game.

The week before that, they scored 13 against the Jets, and nearly lost that game.

The Dallas defense showed signs of life last week against the Commanders, and I hope they run the exact same game plan this week. Run more man coverage and blitz more.

Stop sitting back letting guys run for hours to get open with no pass rush.

I said last week that the Commanders would beat Dallas because I still do not trust their defense, but every single week it just feels like the Cowboys offense gets better and better and honestly, I think Dallas is going to just outscore the Denver offense.

If Dallas wins this game, things are going to get very interesting.

Dallas 31, Broncos 28.

I just trust the way Dak and the offense are playing right now, more so than I have ever trusted a Dak Prescott-led offense.

I don’t believe Denver is a great defense. I believe that if you let them run the ball and stay in front of the chains, if you commit TOs and penalties, they will beat you. But I don’t believe they are a great D or even a very good Offense. If you look at their record, they’ve they’ve beaten bad Offenses and got beaten by good ones. They are 5-2 at this point. They’ve beaten the following teams:

Tenn 1-6 Ward
Cincy 3-4 Browning
Philthy 5-2 Hurts
NYJ 0-7 Fields
NYG 2-5 Dart

They’ve lost to the following Teams:

Indy 6-1 Jones
Boltz 4-3 Herbert

If you break down these teams, what you will find is that good Offenses, balanced Offenses that could both Throw and Run beat Denver. Offenses that were one dimensional lost, with the possible exception of the Giants. But I mean, lets face it, the Giants are a team that is getting better Offensively but they basically gave away that win to Denver. If they don’t make a series of very critical mistakes in the 4th qtr, they win that game going away.

Denver has faced poor QB play in the teams they’ve beaten. Both teams they lost too, Indy and Chargers, both of those teams are top 10 quality Offenses. Both threw for 300 or more and ran for 100 or more. I don’t believe their Defense is as good as everybody says they are. I believe they have played 5 so-so to bad teams and beat them and I believe they have played 2 good teams and gotten by them. Winning percentage of the teams they have beaten this year, under 35%. Winning percentage of the teams they have lost to, over 70%. They can’t stay with balanced teams.

They rely on the run. Stop the run and you stop them. Get them playing from behind and force them to pass the ball. They can’t win that way. You gotta limit them on first downs. Make them play third and long, don’t allow them to see short down and distance on 3rds. Make them play 3rd and long, they are only something like 35% successful on 3rd down conversions. Make them play from behind and they will implode. Nix can’t win those kinds of games at this point in his career IMO. Jump out to a lead and the game is over.

I don’t think our offense has much to worry about with Denver!! They have a few really good players on defense, but they don’t seem to be very good together!! They about got beat by the giants last week!! And they 6 barely got passed the jets!! The defense held the jets to single digits in that game, but the jets also held them to just 13 points!! So I think the defense can be good against bad offenses, which isn’t us, and the offense just isn’t that good at all!! So if our offense keeps going the way they have been, we shouldn’t have any problems scoring on them, and if our defense plays anything close to what they did last week, we’ll keep Denver from scoring too much!! But I do agree that I think we’ll win this game!! We just have the better team!! We just need our defense to play like they did last week!! And I think Eberflus has seen enough to know that he has to keep running plays like he did last week too, so I think he’ll keep getting this defense better and better every week!!

And you mentioned that the eagles are 2 games ahead of us, but if I’m not mistaken, I think they’re actually just a game and a half ahead of us!! But they’re not that good either!! And if it wasn’t for Ceedee dropping those passes in week 1, we would have beaten them in that game!! So I think they’re lucky to have as many wins as they do, and it’s only a matter of time before they’re luck runs out and they start losing the games they should be losing!! And I know when we get our rematch, we will get our win over them, so that’ll get us even closer to taking first place in the division!! We just have to keep winning, and hope that they’re luck runs out sooner than later and they start losing games!! But either way, I think we still have a real good chance at winning the division still!! And that starts with winning in Denver this weekend!!
