Another uniform emerges for the Dallas Cowboys to wear this upcoming season. This new uniform will be worn in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans for a Thursday Night Football showdown. They displayed a sneak peek video of the new fit on the team’s official Twitter account.
These new uniforms have an all-white look, which we haven’t seen since 2004-2012 when the Cowboys would wear all-white helmets and jerseys on Thanksgiving games. While the helmet’s shells are notably white, they do indeed have two blue stripes on the top of them that are dropping down to the face masks.
Moving down to the jersey, we can see that while the jersey number is Cowboy blue, the rest of the jersey is pure white. If you look closely, you can see that the player’s shoulders have a hint of blue as well to balance out the amount of blue and white.
As for the pants, the only other color you will see on them would be green from grass stains during the game. Other than that, all white pants and all white socks are present. What about the shoes? Yes, you guessed it, all white.
What do the Cowboys call this new style? The name for this creation is “The Artic Cowboys”. For obvious reasons, the amount of overwhelming white can only be described as snowy-type terrain.
Now, you may be asking. ” Didn’t the Cowboys already reveal new helmets and jerseys for the Giants game on Thanksgiving this year?” Well, yes they did, but there is a difference between the two uniform styles.
On the left side of the photo are the new helmets that will be revealed for the Titans game, and on the right are the helmets that will be revealed for the Giants game for Thanksgiving.
These alternate uniforms look great as they portray a retro style look in terms of modern-era football and throwback. It’s right in the middle of old-school football and newer style. Great look for the Cowboys in the upcoming season.
