The Philadelphia Eagles have defeated the New York Giants, clinching the NFC East and making the result of the Cowboys-Redskins game irrelevant. Dallas is now officially out of the playoffs and their season is over.
Philadelphia will win the division outright with a superior overall record (9-7) than the Cowboys (8-8).
Dallas was still alive going into today. Had there been a Cowboys win and an Eagles loss, then Dallas would’ve taken the NFC East with a tiebreaker; superior record against division opponents.
The game isn’t over yet between the Cowboys and Redskins but it doesn’t matter. Now all eyes will turn to what Dallas decides to do about its head coaching position.
Jason Garrett’s contract expires as of tomorrow. He won’t be “fired” but the Cowboys could make an announcement about their plans for the future.
Stay tuned to Inside The Star this week as the Cowboys’ offseason is about to begin!
YES!!! We made it to 8-8 again!
JJ has proven himself as the mediocre leader of a mediocre team with a mediocre coach. 25 years of poor performance. Can someone remind JJ he won 2 SB when he hired a good coach that wouldn’t follow his dumb ideas or be pushed around? and repeated with basically that coaches team after he hired the first mediocre yes-man. Come on Jerry!!!
Question… when did Jason do something that he didn’t want to because Jerry told him to?
