The Dallas Cowboys are in the midst of preparing for the first playoff game, but first they will have to wait out this weekend to see who their opponent will finally be. While we all wait to see how this weekend plays out, I thought it would be fun to...
The Dallas Cowboys are in somewhat of a waiting period until this weekend plays out and know who their opponent is, so there isn't a whole lot of news surrounding the organization. I thought it would be fun to use this downtime to complete my first 2017 mock draft for...
The closer we get to the end the 2016 NFL season, the more we know about the playoff picture. Also at this time of year, we are starting to learn which college prospects will decide to enter the draft, which is why we are starting to see more mock...
Mock drafts for the upcoming 2017 NFL draft have started to surface with a little more frequency here lately around the Internet. The last few weeks, both Pro Football Focus and CBS Sports released their first 2017 mock drafts. I guess Todd McShay must have been feeling a little left...
The 2016 regular season in the NFL is coming to an end, but despite the fact there are still a few games and the playoffs left to play, we are already starting to see 2017 mock drafts. A few weeks ago I wrote an article about the recently released Pro...
Even though the 2016 NFL season is just a little over the halfway mark, that doesn't mean it's too early for 2017 mock drafts to already be circulating around the Internet. Now, there is no way to predict where teams will be slotted to select players in April when the...
The dust is just starting to settle after the 2016 NFL Draft and fans are just now starting to come to grips with the selections that their favorite teams made. The Dallas Cowboys in particular are a team that have already faced a lot of scrutiny based on their draft selections, but whether you agree or disagree it doesn't really matter at this point. For those of you who weren't satisfied with the Cowboys 2016 draft class, Senior Analyst for  NFLDraftScout.com Dan Brugler has already published his first Super-early 2017 NFL Mock Draft. Now, there is really no way of exactly knowing  what team will be selecting where so what Brugler did in his mock draft was use the current Vegas odds to win next year's Super Bowl.
The Dallas Cowboys shocked the masses last night when they decided to draft running back Ezekiel Elliott number four overall, despite defensive back Jalen Ramsey still on the board. Clearly the Cowboys believe that Elliott is a special player, even though the running back position has been devalued somewhat over the past several years. I personally have been on the Elliott hype train from the beginning and was elated when I heard NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announce his name as the Cowboys selection. I even went as far as writing an article yesterday pleading the Cowboys not to draft Jalen Ramsey. I really can express enough how much I love the Cowboys decision to draft Ezekiel Elliott.
Well it's draft day (can’t use DDay out of respect for our vets), and now we will see who the Cowboys will take and how the draft unfolds. About the only guarantee is that all of the predictions and mocks from the experts will be obliterated by the tenth pick (If not sooner). But even so, we all want to try to play GM and predict what will happen and this is my attempt to do the same. So without further ado, here are my predictions for what the Cowboys will do in the first four rounds. The Cowboys draft will be set up by what San Diego does with their pick.
After months and months of speculation, predictions, and arguments the NFL Draft is finally here. And, the Cowboys look to be in great shape to add 2 or 3 immediate impact players in the early rounds. Just about the only advantage to having such an awful season is the position it places your team in come Draft Day. Of course, most of those arguments and discussions have centered around what the Cowboys will do with their 4th overall selection, a pick which should yield a potential star. It has been boiled down to two names:
The waiting is over! The 2016 NFL Draft is finally here! In just a few hours, we, as fans, get to open up our new presents and see what we got for football Christmas. Many fans are hoping the newest member of the Dallas Cowboys will be Jalen Ramsey. While we we won't have to wait long to hear the pick, since it will be the fourth pick announced, we still have to sit through three picks that could determine Ramsey's future.
We're just a few days away from the big night. The topsy-turvy activity with the first two picks has given us more clarity for how the early part of the draft could unfoled. Los Angeles and Philadelphia are sure to take quarterbacks, which is a far more certain projection than what the Titans and Browns were offering. And now, my standard disclaimers: Please comment with your thoughts on my picks.
This is the final article of a ten-part series looking at possible draft trade scenarios for the 2016 Dallas Cowboys. For each scenario, we look at possible trades and then explore mock drafts that could occur from the results of the trade(s). For our last article let’s look at a scenario where the Cowboys trade down to number 10 to pick up the Giants second and third round picks. I am going to assume the Cowboys will have a good bargaining position at four and will have multiple offers for teams wanting to come up. That means the Giants will need to overpay for the privilege of coming up.
The 2016 NFL Draft is finally upon us. We have officially started draft week and are now just days away of finally figuring out who the Dallas Cowboys and the rest NFL decide to make members of their football teams. If you are anything like me, you truly enjoy reading different mock drafts and seeing who could possibly become members of your favorite team. You may not always agree with the selection, but that's one of the reasons that mock drafts are so entertaining. Well, since we are just a few days away I decided to take a shot in the dark and play general manager.
This is the ninth of a ten part series looking at possible trade scenarios for the Cowboys. For each scenario, we will look at possible trades and then explore mock drafts that could occur from the results of the trade(s). For our ninth article let’s look at a scenario where the Cowboys eventually trade down to the latter half of the first round. Somewhere around 20. There really does not seem to be one team that has enough second and third round picks to make this a good trade, but the Cowboys could do this by trading back twice in the first round.
This is the eighth of a ten part series looking at trade scenarios for the Cowboys. For each scenario, we look at possible trades and then explore possible mock drafts that could occur from the results of the trade(s). For scenario eight, we should look at the Cowboys staying put...
Well, the Rams trading up eliminates several of our previous draft scenarios, but it does open up a new one. Perhaps Tennessee is willing to trade a couple of picks to come up and get the player they would have drafted number one overall. So in this scenario (#7 by...
So there have been some major developments since my last mock draft. The Rams gave up everything short of their firstborn to move to number one and Myles Jack's knee evaluation didn't go well. These have led to some interesting ripple effects. For this mock I wanted to see what...
The Cowboys have historically been active on draft day. This year they are likely to be even more so. In this series we will take a look at different scenarios that could play out on draft day. This is the sixth of a ten part series that looks at...
After a night and early morning dominated by NBA news, the NFL just retook the news cycle in a major way. The Tennessee Titans just traded the first overall pick in the draft to the Los Angeles Rams. They are getting massive, Herschel Walker-level haul in exchange for moving from first...
