These Players Could Benefit the Most From Preseason Success

The Cowboys have their first preseason game this Saturday against the . Questions will linger until the final game concludes at the end of the month.

A few players are on the radar going into preseason who I think could use the three games to their benefit.

The first two players are a couple I have kept my eye on since fractured his foot. Noah Brown and Simi Fehoko are two players to focus your attention on. One of these guys may be featured as the WR3 rolling into week one against Tampa Bay.

As comes to a close, both caught touchdown passes from on Tuesday. Preseason is where these players and others battling for either a roster spot or looking to increase their playing time can thrive and benefit.

Who wins the kicking battle? Dallas signed former Brett Maher yesterday and released Johnathan Garibay after neither Garibay or Lirim Hajrullahu could find consistent success.

Hajrullahu was the better of the two recently, but Dallas was still not confident in him enough, which shows by Maher. If he wins the job, I will do my best to put his handful of awful games/misses with the Cowboys behind him and look at his 16-for-18 last season as a member of the Saints. Maher and Hajrullahu can benefit from the preseason, kicking in real-time, at other places, etc.

Any player not named or on the offensive line. Every single one of the others needs to use the preseason to benefit them. I could not tell you if plans to play any of the ‘significant' starters on the OL because of how thin they are, but I would like to see others get reps, even if it's the last preseason game.

I don't expect to see many starters play much in the three preseason games, but some of these guys plus others not mentioned, if used could benefit from getting several snaps.

OT Steele is the biggest question mark.

    Anthony

Just couldn’t tell you how many times the middle of the O line was blown up last season. Its a pretty difficult to play QB in the NFL. Its especially difficult when your starting center is in your lap.

Yep Receiver and kicker issues get a lot of commentary, but the o line is by far the biggest concern for me.
