The Dallas Cowboys have selected Cornerback Israel Mukuamu with a 6th-round pick, 227th overall, in the 2021 NFL Draft. He just completed his junior season at the University of South Carolina.
Mukuamu has rare size at 6'4″ and fits the mold of what new Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn likes in his corners. Dallas took another 6'4″ CB at the end of the 3rd Round in Oregon State's Nahshon Wright.
Cowboys drafted ex-South Carolina CB Israel Mukuamu in sixth round at No. 227 overall. Ridiculous size at 6-4, 212 pounds and 34" arms. One more pick to go.

With these two and Kentucky's Kelvin Joseph in the second round, the Cowboys have added three cornerbacks in this draft. We could easily see one of these players making a transition to safety given their size, with Mukuamu probably the best candidate of the rookies.
Welcome to Dallas, Israel Mukuamu!
Like the pick. I think we just got out Safety. The kid has experience playing safety at SC. Good ball production, 7 INTs in 31 games. Our draft is improving.
Nice pick in the later rounds with time played at CB and S. Like this pick
Chris Trapasso at CBS agrees with the Safety speculation on this guy.
I know Ar’Darius Washington is small, but he plays bigger and has the instincts. I’m surprised they didn’t at least take a chance on him or James Wiggins out of Cincinnati. Maybe hoping Washington makes it to UDFA?
Agree lonewolfz28, with A Washington assessment. Would be crazy if he makes it to UDFA, because he is talented. I guess its his size thats making him fall.
VAM – Despite being CBS’s top “Best Fit” to any team needing a S through the last two rounds he actually made it to UDFA status. I thought for sure the WFT would play spoiler and grab him.
Local kid so I hope the Cowboys at least give him a chance to come in and compete. I mean, he isn’t much smaller than Kazee and is at least as athletic, instinctive and productive.
The Ravens signed Ar’Darius Washington as an UDFA. Figures.
