Cowboys 2017 Mock Draft: Who Said The Secondary's Thin? 2

Adam Shaheen, TE, Ashland

Despite being a division two college player, Adam Shaheen could be a solid value pick for the Cowboys on day three. At 6’6″ and 278 pounds, Shaheen has a huge frame and is a solid blocker in the run game.

Shaheen would allow the Cowboys to use that 12 personnel they love so much without sacrificing their run blocking on the outside.

Shaheen is also surprisingly athletic for his size, and is a decent route runner who can create separation vertically. I’d be pretty happy with Dallas finding Shaheen in round four.

  1. I like your selections. I don’t think Adam Shaheen will be available in the 4th. He’ll be a Day 2 pick. I’m not a fan of drafting a RB. I firmly believe we can get what we need from the undrafted ranks. I’d rather use it on other positions.
