The Dallas Cowboys continue their busy afternoon, and have agreed to re-sign wide receiver Tavon Austin for 2019.
Austin joined the Cowboys from the Los Angeles Rams via draft day trade last offseason, and was effective as a “gadget” player on offense and returner on special teams when healthy. Really, that was the only issue, his health.
When Tavon Austin was available he was a nice contributor to the Cowboys with great speed and big play ability. His most memorable plays of 2018 were his opening drive touchdown reception week two against the New York Giants in which he won with vertical speed, and his punt return touchdown against Seattle in the postseason which actually got called back.
This is another solid move by the Cowboys as they look to improve the depth on the roster and fill any glaring holes before the 2019 NFL Draft.
