Cowboys Draft RB Bo Scarbrough with the 236th Pick in the 2018 NFL Draft

What a crazy couple of days for the Dallas Cowboys. A day after Jason Witten’s retirement was reported and minutes after Ryan Switzer was traded to the Oakland Raiders, the Dallas Cowboys have drafted a running back to back-up superstar Ezekiel Elliott.

From the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Cowboys get a very capable RB who never really got a chance to shine in college. A backup for a long time under Nick Saban, Scarbrough will execute the same role behind Elliott or maybe behind Rod Smith.

Even still, it’s a great pick for the Cowboys, who came into the Draft with “backup RB” written in the team’s needs list.

That concludes the 2018 NFL Draft for the Dallas Cowboys (barring an unexpected trade). As always, it’s a pleasure to keep up you updated on behalf of Inside The Star and to provide you with on-location content directly from fellow Staff Writer Sean Martin!

What a horrid pick, he’s not a very good RB to start with. Biggest need is 1 tech (Ward is a 3 or DE), Poona Ford right there for the taking, high motor guy with serious proven production.

So in 9 picks, Dallas did well to very well on 6 and blew 3. . .Covington and Scarbrough are wastes, not sure Mike White has the feet to run a Dak/Cooper offense though I understand Dallas really wanted to draft a QB. I’d have tried to find one that fit.

Oh yeah, no S. . . .in a draft full of athletic S??????

…but barely any FS after the 1st couple of rounds. I think it says a lot about the guys we have. Plus, we have the possibility to grab a Tre Boston or Kenny Vaccaro.
Kris Richard was brought on to build up our pass defense. I don’t think we are done there. Whether it is in UDFA or FA.

Not the worst pick, i mean he’ll probably be better than Alfred Morris. A good 7th round pick just to be 3rd or 4th on the depth chart

Agreed. You have to look at who he replaces and where he was picked. Bo will bruise some players and wear on defenses while giving Zeke a break.
