The Dallas Cowboys kept their slim hopes of winning the NFC East division alive with a solid 33-16 victory over the Raiders in Las Vegas on Monday night.

With seven games remaining for both teams, Dallas is 3.5 games behind the Eagles. More importantly, they are only two games out of the final wildcard spot.

The Eagles, meanwhile, are in a dogfight for the No. 1 seed in the NFC with the Rams.

The Bears and Seahawks are just one game back. Tampa Bay, Green Bay, San Francisco, and Detroit lurk just two games behind.

The surprising Carolina Panthers are also in the mix at 6-5. It promises to be an exciting final seven weeks for the NFC East and the NFC overall.

Dallas Cowboys (4-5-1)

The Cowboys took care of business on Monday, easily beating a team they should have easily beat.

Unfortunately for Dallas, they don’t get the play the Raiders for the next five weeks. They don’t even get to play a team as bad as the Raiders are until they meet the Commanders in D.C. in Week 17.

Dallas had a monster second quarter that pretty much sealed the game by halftime.

It gives the Cowboys something to build on as they go through the toughest five weeks of the 2025 schedule.

They host Philadelphia in five days, then the Chiefs four days later. This is followed by games at Detroit, versus the Vikings, and at the Chargers.

Next Game: vs. Philadelphia, Sunday, 3:25 p.m.

New York Giants (2-9)

The Giants finally showed Brian Daboll the door. Not that it made any difference in the final result.

But they at least put some fear into the Green Bay Packers on Sunday before losing 27-20.

Jameis Winston started for the injured Jaxson Dart and was 19-of-29 for 201 yards with one interception.

Green Bay had to score a late touchdown to win the game though. Something for the Giants to build on in what will be a losing season.

Next Game: at Detroit, Sunday, Noon.

Philadelphia Eagles (8-2)

The Eagles continue to catch the breaks, including having opponents completely come unraveled on the week they play Philadelphia.

This is mostly due to the Eagles’ defense.

Because the offense is not good at all. Out of all eight divisional leaders, the Eagles have scored the fewest points.

Sooner or later that will catch up with Philadelphia.

As will their continually getting the benefit of some very poor officiating.

Game action between Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles, highlighting football players tackling during an NFL game. Focus on American football offense, defense, and game moments.

Which was key to their 16-9 win over the Lions on Sunday night.

Next Game: at Dallas, Sunday, 3:25 p.m.

Washington Commanders (3-8)

The Commanders’ losing streak now stands at six in a row. While they are not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, they would need to win out and get a lot of help.

The way Washington has been playing, there is no way they are winning six in a row.

Injuries have shredded this roster.

Bad coaching decisions and poor play by those on the field have not helped. A shocking demise for a team that was one win from the Super Bowl back in January.

They cut their kicker after he missed two field goals.

There is some good news: They won’t lose their seventh straight game.

At least not this week.

They need a week off after handing the Dolphins a 16-13 win in overtime in Spain.

Next Game: Bye Week
