The have talent all over the depth chart; they lack depth at only a few positions but, for the most part, are pretty deep everywhere.

As training camp inches closer, I have talked enough about some of the stars on this football team, so I wanted to do something a little different.

We will see plenty of the stars for the Cowboys do what they do, but how about some players with a higher ceiling entering 2023?

I could put others on this list, but the three players below might have a chance to earn a few snaps this year.

Jalen Tolbert

You may be thinking, does Jalen Tolbert have a high ceiling? There is no way he should be on here.

Well, it can't get any lower, right?

That is exactly why Tolbert is on the list.

We expected more than he gave us last season, and the No. 4 spot on the depth chart in the room is wide open.

The Cowboys should not give up on Jalen Tolbert

He only played in eight games, catching two passes for 12 yards.

has also noticed an improved Tolbert.

“He's gotten better, route running, his ability to catch in traffic, his confidence is growing,” Lamb said. “You can see it, day by day as we go, he's continuing to ask questions, staying late after meetings. The determination is there. All he has to do is keep working.”

Tolbert has a high ceiling in 2023 because it simply can't get any lower than it already is.

Jabril Cox

Jabril Cox has a real chance to be the breakout candidate for the Cowboys in 2023.

Cox has played 45 defensive snaps over the first two seasons, and the room has room for him to make an impact.

After rehabbing his ACL injury, his ceiling is high.

His upside is bigger than almost anyone on the roster who is not a starter. Outside of the player I put next.

He has had a good start in the camps, as he broke up two consecutive passes on third and fourth down back in June.

Cox will have his chance pretty soon into the season when it starts in September. He should be able to earn snaps in different looks with Dan Quinn's .

Sam Williams

Let's just be honest. You can't put a cap on the ceiling for Sam Williams.

He has speed, pass-rushing skills, play recognition, and can play both linebacker and if he had to.

Williams is going to get his chances with a loaded edge rushing room.

His ceiling is high because we've already seen the impact he can have without even being a starter.

Williams recorded four sacks and 11 pressures, and 22 total tackles and three fumble recoveries last year.

I'm sure some folks won't agree with Tolbert, but I think Williams and Cox belong here.

All three of these players will have every chance from now until week one in September to earn snaps.

The ceiling for for these guys can only come down. It won't get any higher than it already is.
