After a tough battle on the road against the Eagles last week, the are back home to take on the Giants.

Last week still leaves a bad taste in my mouth because it is one that they very well could have won.

Let's be honest: the Cowboys can use these next handful of games to work on the little things.

These next few are not to be taken lightly, but the Cowboys should try and find a way to get the running game going.

No, don't force it, but try some creative things.

Use Rico Dowdle some more.

It starts with the struggling Giants on Sunday.

Don't play with your food

Exactly right, Cowboys.

The Giants are so bad that this shouldn't even be close at halftime.

Daniel Jones is out for the year with a torn ACL. He wasn't very good this season, anyway.

The Dallas Cowboys have won 11 straight home games. This will be 12.

Get creative

Get creative with the running game.

It is lacking in this offense because it has not been good.

They are making what they are trying to do on the ground obvious, so it is time to add some flavor.

Pull the tackles and get Pollard outside a bit more.

Start using Dowdle. He had an excellent run against the Eagles, and guess what? It got called back due to holding. Shocker.

Terence Steele has been the biggest problem for this team thus far.

He signed an 86-million-dollar extension this year. He can not continue to be this bad.

Through the first eight weeks of the season, the Cowboys has given up 75 pressures, and Steele is responsible for 28 of them. With the money he is now making, that can't happen.

The running and passing games will need him to be better, as this team has now hit the midway point of the season.

We all understand that you can't take anyone lightly in this league, but Dallas should be able to use this game to try some new things out.

See what works and what doesn't. They had enough to beat the Eagles last week, but couldn't pull it out at the end.

This probably won't even be much of a game, and if it is, this team once again will have people wondering who they really are.

The Cowboys should run away with this game, I expect the backups to most of the 4th quarter if not all of it.

I really want to see Pollard have a big game and get his confidence back running the ball on the ground.

It also wouldn't be a bad idea to try and see what works for Deuce Vaughn if they have him active this week.

Nonetheless, Cowboys win this one big, 36-17.
