According to multiple reports, Wide Receiver CeeDee Lamb will be invited to the 2022 Pro Bowl as an alternate. That would give the Dallas Cowboys six players in the NFL’s annual all-star game and give Lamb his first career Pro Bowl apperance.
In just his second season, Lamb emerged as the Cowboys’ top receiver and set new career highs in receptions (79), yards (1,102), and touchdowns (6). He also saw a few touches on the ground, totaling 76 rushing yards on just nine carries.
The Cowboys had five players named to the original 2022 Pro Bowl roster when it was released last month: OT Tyron Smith, G Zack Martin, LB Micah Parsons, CB Trevon Diggs, and P Bryan Anger. At this time, all are expected to play in the game.
DE Randy Gregory was named as a Pro Bowl alternate shortly thereafter, but this week it was revealed that Gregory would be having knee surgery today. With the game being played next weekend Randy shouldn’t be there.
But back to Lamb. By making the Pro Bowl in just his second season, CeeDee only further affirms the Cowboys’ decision to give him that hallowed #88 and join the elite company of Drew Pearson, Michael Irvin, and Dez Bryant.
In fact, Lamb now joins Pearson as the only members of the “#88 Club” to be named Pro Bowlers within two seasons. Irvin didn’t get to the Pro Bowl until his third year and Dez had to wait until his fourth season for the honor.
Congratulations to CeeDee Lamb on this great accomplishment!

Ole CD is a decent receiver but like I’ve stated before he just hasn’t proved to me that he is as good as advertised!! I will have to admit that Dak hasn’t targeted him as much as he should but even when he does CD has only been average in my opinion! I hope next season he comes out and makes me write and apologize for selling him short!
You have a very inflated view of what the “average” NFL WR looks like. Terrance Williams was an average WR.
It’d be interesting to see how he does with a more accurate QB with better timing. Unfortunately, the actual Pro Bowl game is usually an even bigger farce than the voting.
As an alternate, he likely won’t get in before the 2nd half when it’s Kyler Murray, anyway. At least he might still have some chemistry with Murray from their Sooner days.
Agree lonewolfz28, the Pro Bowl game and voting are a farce. Voting is a popularity contest. IMO, too many stupid “awards” period. There are awards now for the games, the week, the month, the year, ETC.
Only real thing that matters is getting to a SB, then winning it. All the rest is BS.
As far as CD, he is pretty good and has had his moments, but the QB is holding him back. In fact when looking at other QBs in the PS, DP is just not on the same level, If we are honest about it. He is above average at this point. The WEAK NFC EAST division and the media hype make him look better than he really is. One can easily name 10-12 better QBs right now. Sad thing is we are stuck with him and that lead weight contract.
The boys o line didn’t live up to expectations, center, Connor Williams even Smith when healthy Zeke picking up the blitz was spot on but his numbers down again !! Line play and Dak under pressure please go after Sean Payton he will hold players accountable!!! Players missed tackles, catches ,route running and a defeated demeanor will not get them to the next level!!! Too much talent to be out of the playoffs already. Mr Jones please put a GM on place that will bring the hammer down !!!
Thank you
