Social Media Reacts to Cowboys Drafting WR CeeDee Lamb

Anything the Dallas Cowboys do causes waves on social media, but especially when it’s a huge event like the first round of the NFL Draft. It was no surprise, then, that the drafting of WR CeeDee Lamb tonight caused a big reaction!

Cowboys Nation weren’t the only ones thrilled to welcome Lamb to Dallas. Some of his new teammates also got in on the action.

Dallas area and national media personalities also had some nice thing to say about the Cowboys pick.

Teams always talk about taking the best player available. The Cowboys absolutely did that by taking CeeDee Lamb with the 17th overall pick https://t.co/c3xiyM3WDR

I’m still staring at that #Cowboys CeeDee Lamb pick in disbelief. What a bonkers offense. You take the best overall talent on the board at that point and worry about the rest later.

And perhaps the most intriguing of all, former Cowboys WR Dez Bryant gave his blessing.

Cowboys got a stud!!!! Congratulations Lamb

Does CeeDee Lamb’s arrival in Dallas hurt Bryant’s chances of returning to the team in 2020? Could the rookie wind up wearing #88, carrying on the legacy of receivers taken in early rounds being given the hallowed number?

What a night for the Cowboys!

What do you think?

  1. I love this pick, He will allow us to actually open the play book more. I had a feeling we would go WR round 1 and then defense round 2-3 and then o-line or TE round 4, round 5 TE/ another WR/ QB or defense. Got 2 picks for this round and can’t mess it up. Round 7 I really like Josh Love as a back up QB out of San Jose State.

    • The only reason we went receiver in the 1st round is cause it was Ceedee Lamb!! If him or the other top 2 receivers were gone we would have went defense!!

  2. Best available, plain and simple. Although they needed a slot guy. Lamb can play in and out. Now on to the defensive side of the ball.

  3. Now what ! Give Dak more weapons that’s what Mr. JERRY did. Now watch what they bring in next. It’s so much talent in this particular draft and all the value in the later rounds , Mr.JERRY is bout to shoot his ole way to the championship. The BOYS are going to get everything they need in this draft. Everybody else better have their six shooters ready , because the BOYS are coming and they are going to be COWBALLIN all the way to the top. The Defense won’t have another season like last year.
