You all know it, the Dallas Cowboys defense has been amazing lately. Despite the Cowboys being known as an “offensive team” in the past, the defense seemed to be much better in terms of talent and execution.
Defenses like the one Dallas has only come once in a blue moon. That’s why it’s important that the Cowboys don’t waste this incredible talent.
I want to see a Super Bowl appearance soon, and so do these players.
With so much change and confusion occurring inside of Cowboys Nation with people getting fired and cut from the team, it’s hard to focus on things that will stay the same. The entire Cowboys team is changing, but the defense seems to have stayed the same… for now.
With little to no change, does that mean the defense will remain the same, get better, or get worse next season?
The Cowboys’ defense will be even better next year. We already saw this transition from the 2021 season to the 2022 season.
In 2021 the defense was ranked in 7th place, this year, the defense was a top-three program all season long. Not to mention Linebacker Micah Parsons and Defensive End DeMarcus Lawrence had much better stats this year than last.
Especially with Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn coming back on board, the chances of success once again increase.
Quinn has proved to be an amazing coach and his skill only seems to rise as time goes on. I am sure he has more tricks up his sleeve for this next season.
The potential for the rest of the defense is also very high, as so many players are young and fresh on our team.
Let’s not forget about the upcoming NFL Draft. While the Cowboys will probably focus on their wide receivers and offense for the draft, they will be looking at some cornerbacks and safeties as well I presume.
Over the past two years, the Cowboys have only gotten better as a team. The 2022 Dallas Cowboys could totally beat the 2021 Cowboys. I am also guessing that we will see an even better team in 2023.
Overall, having Dan Quinn back is the main reason the Cowboys’ defense won’t decline in 2023.
Quinn is definitely among the best coaches in the league. I am surprised that he stayed with the Cowboys this offseason when he could have easily grabbed a head coaching job anywhere.
I am eager to see what will happen this season with our defense. I am very certain it will succeed as I see no upcoming flaws with the defense at the moment.
