We have made it to the second injury report of the year, and let me be the first to tell you, you shouldn’t be shocked by who is already missing a game.
Before we get into that though, the Dallas Cowboys will host the Washington Commanders in their home opener on Sunday afternoon at 3:25, and all signs are pointing to them needing to win this game or they are in big trouble.
If that is the case, they will need to do it without the guy who wore the green dot in the season opener against the Giants.

Look, let’s get ahead of this now. If the Cowboys lose this game, regardless of what you say as a fan, the numbers do not lie.
Since 2020, when the playoff format expanded again — this time from 12 teams to 14 — the percentage of teams that make the postseason after a 0-2 start has stayed at 12.2%.
Read that again for me, the chances of making the playoffs when a team starts the season with two straight losses is 12.2%.
It is like a revolving door. The Dallas Cowboys defense can’t find a way to get stops and when the offense does get going, like the second half, they only get limited possessions because the defense lets teams just wear them down.

The Cowboys scored a touchdown on both drives in the second half when they touched the ball. They made it a one-score game twice, but the defense couldn’t stop me if I was out there.
And now, a rookie is going to be wearing the green dot, calling plays. I mean I am doing my best not to think this is going to be a total flop. I just trust the defensive line enough with big Q and the others to figure out a way to do something positive.
The Commanders will be without their green dot as well with Luvu being out, so I will tell you right now that the Cowboys at home should win this game and avoid going to 0-2, because if they do not win this game, that is where I think Jerry gets desperate.
The Washington defense did not look great with him in the lineup, so him not being out there and in the same spot Dallas is in is a win for the Cowboys.
Every single thing is pointing for Dallas to win this game.
With the next game in Rio against the Ravens, remember when the Cowboys in 2018 had no wide receivers, and they tried the whole wide receivers by committee garbage?
The Cowboys were 3-5 before they traded for Amari Cooper. They lost one more game the rest of the year. Jerry Jones has made a desperate move before and if the Cowboys start 0-2, I actually truly expect him to do something. Whether we agree with it or not, that is a conversation for another day.
We will see what happens, but I fully expect this week to be a lot better than last, but if a repeat performance does happen, something will go down. I am not sure what, but I have a guy feeling for once in my life about Jerry Jones.

I said the same thing last year. The defense can somehow only get better, and it is sad that, with all the new players they have, I even have to say that after the first week, but dudes will not be looking like a lost puppy out there this week, hopefully.
