The stage is set for a primetime clash at AT&T Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals meet in what could be one of the more exciting Monday Night Football matchups of the 2025 season.
The Cowboys enter Monday night looking to bounce back from a shaky stretch that’s left them hovering around the middle of the NFC pack; explosive on offense some weeks, and terrible on defense every week.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals, led by the always-dangerous Kyler Murray, are looking to end a five-game slide after starting the season with two wins.
Both teams have plenty to play for as the second half of the season unfolds, and Monday night could serve as a momentum-swinging game for either side.
With that in mind, it’s time for some bold predictions; not outlandish or far-fetched, but confident, high-upside calls that could easily become headlines after the final whistle.
Ferguson Wins the TE Battle
Two of the best young tight ends in the NFL will share the field Monday night, and while Arizona’s Trey McBride is coming off a monster performance, (10 catches for 74 yards and 2 touchdowns against Green Bay) it’ll be Dallas’ Jake Ferguson who steals the show in this one.
This prediction is bold because Ferguson is fresh off the worst statistical game of his career: zero catches on just one target in last week’s loss at Denver.
Still, that type of outing doesn’t define a player of Ferguson’s caliber; it fuels him.
Expect Dak Prescott to get his trusted tight end involved early and often, particularly against a Cardinals’ defense that has struggled to contain intermediate routes and tight ends working the seams.
Look for Ferguson to deliver a statement rebound game, something in the range of 12 receptions, over 100 yards, and a touchdown, reestablishing himself as one of the most reliable weapons in the Cowboys’ offense.
McBride may still have a productive night, but Ferguson will be the tight end everyone’s talking about come Tuesday morning.
Javonte Sets a New Career High
If the Cowboys are going to win this one, they’ll need to control the pace, and that means feeding Javonte Williams early and often.
Williams has already set a career high this season with 135 rushing yards against the Jets, but he might just top that number against the Cardinals.
This prediction is bold because Arizona’s front seven has quietly improved against the run, yet Dallas’ offensive line and scheme are built to create opportunities when they commit to the ground game.
Expect HC Brian Schottenheimer to lean heavily on Williams to keep Kyler Murray and the Cardinals’ offense on the sidelines in OC Klayton Adams’ first game versus his former team.
A 150-yard night isn’t out of the question, especially if Dallas finds itself in rhythm and the line opens up lanes between the tackles.
Williams has shown the power, patience, and burst to carry an offense, and Monday night could be his official breakout on national television.
Cowboys Win
It might sound simple to predict a Cowboys win, but this one carries a special kind of weight.
Kyler Murray has never lost a football game at AT&T Stadium; not in high school, not in college at Oklahoma, and not as a professional. He’s 2-0 against the Cowboys in Arlington, outscoring them 63-32 combined in those two games.
That streak ends Monday night.
Murray will put up his numbers, (expect over 300 passing yards and a few highlight-reel runs) but the Cowboys’ offense will answer with firepower of its own.
Behind a resurgent Ferguson, a dominant Williams, and a balanced offensive approach, Dallas will finally flip the script and deliver Murray’s first-ever defeat in his personal “home away from home.”
It’ll take composure, physicality, and a few big plays, but this time, the Cowboys will rise to the moment under the bright lights of Monday Night Football.
Those predictions are pretty easy to get behind, especially since we’re playing at home!! We have scored 40 points in every game as home so far, so if that streak keeps going then it’s easy to see Ferguson have a big game and it’s even possible he has the hundred yards and 2 touchdowns!! And then the way Williams runs, it’s always possible for him to run for 150 yards, especially when the whole team just came off a slow and low scoring game the week before!! And finally, the Cowboys winning is even easier to see just for the fact that we are playing at home, where we have scored 40 points in every game so far, and have won the majority of our games this season!! I know the Cardinals are a better team than they’ve been showing lately, they about pulled out a win against Green Bay and they were playing with Jakoby Brissett at QB for that game too, so I know this is gonna be a tough game, especially with Kyler Murray playing in it!! But I think we can win this one since we’re playing at home where we actually tied Green Bay, and it seems like every player on our offense has big games!! And then I haven’t seen the Cardinals score that many points in a game all year, and I know it’s different playing against our defense, but I don’t think they score enough to beat us!! And then there’s the fact that Murray has been out for a while now, and there’s a good chance he comes back slow too!! Plus it seems like he’s not even the better QB on the team anymore!! I’ve seen the comparisons from the games they played this season and Brissett gets more yards a game, more yards a pass, more touchdowns a game and a better completion percentage, so I think we mite have gotten lucky that we don’t have to play the QB with the better arm that leads his team to more points!! But not only that, unlike a lot of these people that make comments on these sites, I’m an real Cowboys fan, so I’m gonna say that I believe we can win every game we play in every time!! But I would still agree with the predictions, even if I was a fake fan like the majority of the people that comment on here, just because it’s easy to see it happen with the way our offense has played at home this season!!
Well after looking into a little more, it looks like we’re not gonna be Kyler Murray after all, we are gonna be stuck playing the QB that has been better than Murray so far this season!! But there is one good thing about it, and it’s that we don’t have to worry about Murray’s streak!! But unfortunately, that can be a bad thing too, because we could have the chance to end his streak, but if he don’t play then that won’t happen!! The Cardinals head coach said that Jacoby Brissett will start, but Murray could play a role, but that only depends on how he looks Saturday!! But I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!!
