BREAKING: Cowboys Sign OL Ty Nsekhe To One Year Deal

After a 2020 season riddled with injuries across the offensive line, the Dallas Cowboys are going hard after depth up front during free agency.

Per Elite Loyalty Sports, veteran offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe is signing a one year deal with the Cowboys, most likely to serve as their third tackle.

Nsekhe most recently was with the Buffalo Bills in 2020, where he played just 54 offensive snaps. It took Nsekhe some time to find a home in the NFL, but during his second stint in Washington in 2015, he was able to carve out a spot for himself as a swing tackle.

Nsekhe has been in the league in some capacity since 2012, and will serve as a solid depth piece for the Dallas Cowboys’ banged up tackles in 2021.

Now between Brandon Knight, Ty Nsekhe, and Terrance Steele, the Cowboys will have a ton of competition this Summer at tackle.

What the??? This guy is 35 years old, and barely played at all last year. How in the world could anybody think he is an upgrade to any of the Tackles Dallas has already???

He’s the swing tackle if Tyron can stay healthy we won’t see him! Plus it’s a one year deal,

He is a legitimate tackle who took over in Washington for Trent Williams and never missed a beat. Should have been a pro bowl selection based on merit. He is excellent in pass protection and the run game snd in his time in Buffalo NEVER gave up a sack or committed a penalty. He had two pro bowl non injured Tackles playing in front of him, otherwise is a pro bowl caliber Tackle capable of playing either side at a very high level. Also is a great locker room presence and leader by rxample. The Buffalo Bills loss is the Dallas Cowboys gain.

Where is the dominant safety we have been waiting for over the last 25 years??? Maybe Jerry should realize that defense wins championships…. He only sees this year after year when hes sitting home for the superbowl…..

I’m curious, for all you commenting here (who are not ACTUALLY Cowboys fans), would you prefer they spend $15 million on a swing tackle?

Let’s give the guy a chance before we rip him. He has some back story (been to hell and back) so I think he will take this opportunity VERY seriously. One thing you can definitely say, he has great size, 6’8″, 330, so bull rush is most likely off the table. Good luck Ty.

Dwayne, yeah 35 is not young, but for a lineman not as bad as say for the RB position.
