The Cowboys' most recent inductees to the Pro Football Hall of Fame will have yet another well-deserved day of recognition. Cliff Harris, Drew Pearson, and Jimmy Johnson will receive their HOF rings in a ceremony during halftime of Dallas' Week 3 meeting with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.
Harris and Johnson were part of the 2020 class but had to wait for their induction until last month due to the pandemic. Pearson was inducted with this year's group.
One thing that Cliff and Drew have that Jimmy doesn't is a place in the Cowboys Ring of Honor. But Jerry Jones made it clear during the last Hall of Fame Weekend that adding Johnson to the Ring was coming.
Late last night, Michael Irvin caused a stir when he said that Jimmy was also going to named to the Ring of Honor as part of Monday's festivities. But it appears he simply misspoke.

Jerry Jones has since confirmed that Jimmy's Ring of Honor induction will not happen on Monday. And really, that is a kindness to Cliff Harris and Drew Pearson that their moment isn't left in the shadows.
It was clear last month that Jones and Johnson want to finally put the rivalry behind them and just enjoy their accomplishments. Jimmy's day for the Ring of Honor is coming, and perhaps later this year. The Thanksgiving Day game could be a perfect opportunity given its national profile.
For now, we get to enjoy the recognition that all three of these Cowboys legends deserve from joining the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Four of the organization's five Super Bowl championships will be directly represented between Harris, Pearson, and Johnson.
(And we all know that fifth one really belongs to Jimmy, too.)
Any Cowboys game is enough for most fans to look forward to. But throw in the Eagles, this halftime event, and the bright lights of Monday Night Football and it promises to be a big evening!
