It brings me great disappointment to say that our beloved Dallas Cowboys will not be present in this year’s NFC Championship game.
Instead, the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers will be taking the stage this Sunday and will definitely be putting on a show. That is because of their high-powered offenses set to face off against each other during the game.
Yes I know, it is quite upsetting that two teams who are rivals to the Cowboys will be playing in this Championship game, but this is still football. It’s a sport we all love very much, and with that, I will certainly be watching this game play out.
I am excited to see these two battle it out.
While I will still be rooting for either the Kansas City Chiefs or Cincinnati Bengals to win it all, the NFC Championship is going to be a great game.
Brock Purdy and Jalen Hurts will be the main attraction for this game.
Each player has had an interesting story this season and the stakes couldn’t be higher for either one of them.
On one team you have a 7-0 Brock Purdy who was the final pick in last year’s NFL Draft and has been taking the internet by storm due to his rapid success.
While on the other team, you have a quarterback who has been in the league for three years and has finally had that breakout season that Eagles fans were hoping for in year one.
Not to mention that Jalen Hurts is 15-1 on the season when he is the starting quarterback.
Another story between these two talented quarterbacks has been lurking behind the shadows, as many may not know that they both met when they played college ball.
That’s right, when Brock Purdy was at Iowa State and Jalen Hurts was at Oklahoma, these two played an amazing game together that will go down in BIG 12 history.
With a thrilling game that was, it’s safe to say that this upcoming game will challenge that performance.
Many fans are expecting a ton of offense for this game, and while I agree with that, some people are forgetting about the 49ers’ defense.
The 49ers are probably going to win this game, even though Hurts and the Eagles have a better offense than San Francisco, they haven’t met a defense like theirs. The score will still be high and I am almost certain that there will be 45 or more points scored in this game.
The 49ers’ defense will be very clutch toward the end of the game and come up with some interceptions to close out a win.
San Francisco attended last year’s NFC Championship as well, however, they came up short against the Los Angeles Rams with a score of 17-20.
They definitely have more of that spark this year than they did last year.
This is mainly because of the quarterback change. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is just not a good quarterback and he never will be.
Brock Purdy has shown great leadership and has earned his spot as a starting quarterback.
Excitement fills the air as this game approaches and I am eager to see who will win this game.
