The NFC East hasn’t been too impressive to start the 2020 season and that continued into Week 3. The Eagles stayed winless with a tie against the Bengals while the Giants and the Football Team both lost in early games today. This gives the Dallas Cowboys an opportunity take control of the division with a victory over the Seattle Seahakws.
New York has fallen to 0-3 while Philadelphia is now 0-2-1 for the year. Washington is 1-2, having upset the Eagles in their season opener.
The Cowboys haven’t been much better. If not for their improbable comeback last week against the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas would be heading into Seattle trying to get their first win against a very difficult opponent.
But now, thanks to Washington’s loss today to the Cleveland Browns, the Cowboys can move into sole possession of the NFC East lead if they can find way to beat the Seahawks.
This 2020 NFL season is unlike any before it with the impact of COVID-19 and unique rules it created. Some of our old logic no longer applies, and some will have to be learned as we go.
But there are still just 16 games in the regular season, making the winless starts for the Eagles and Giants just as disastrous as they’ve always been.
Can the Cowboys make those fanbases even more upset with a win today? We sure hope so!
