NFL 2022 Schedule Release Date Announced; List of Cowboys Opponents

The NFL has announced that the full 2022 regular season schedule will be released on Thursday, May 12th. This is when we finally learn the exact dates and times for the Cowboys’ upcoming slate of opponents.

As has become its annual tradition, the league will give its schedule release plenty of pomp and grandeur with a primetime television event. It will also be releasing a few key dates in advance of May 12th such as its international games, holidays, and some primetime matchups.

Dallas’ will certainly be named in some of the early reveals, usually getting at least a few primetime games in addition to their annual Thanksgiving appearance. The Cowboys could also be headed across the pond this year as they’re scheduled to visit the Jaguars and Packers, who are each going to be having a “home” game in London.

In addition to their standard six games against the NFC East rivals, Dallas will be playing all four teams from the NFC North and the AFC South. They will also face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Rams as the other division winners within the conference.

For the 17th game (though not necessarily played in Week 18), the Cowboys will host the Cincinnati Bengals. This year the NFC East goes against the AFC North in the NFL’s new scheduling formula with each team getting an additional interconference game based on where you finished in the division the previous year.

The Cowboys and Bengals both won their divisions in 2021.

Here is the complete list of Dallas’ opponents in 2022:

Home: Eagles, Giants, Washington, Bears, Lions, Bucs, Colts, Texans, Bengals

Away: Eagles, Giants, Washington, Packers, Vikings, Rams, Jaguars, Titans

I’ve been a Dallas Fan literally since I could watch and understand football. I really appreciate and enjoy reading you’re articles when they are posted. I live in Tennessee and seriously can’t wait for our Boyz to come to Nashville and get the job done agnist the Titans. Don’t get me wrong as long as they aren’t playing us hey hope they have a great game and season…. That is until and eventually play us in the Super Bowl. The last couple years I honestly thought it was a realistic possibility of happening and I was really looking forward to it happening, but of course dumb s#i* happened and we both were completely caught off guard and early exit from the playoffs. Anyway please keep doing what you do and again I appreciate you’re up to date info on our Cowboys.

Each year I bet the Over/Under for Cowboys wins. Under Smiling Dopey Opie I was 8-2, and so far 2-0 under McCarthy. The first place schedule is brutal. Bucs, Rams and Bengals is a Murderers Row. We have too many bad teams at home with too many harder teams on the road. Losing Cooper and Collins due to Stephen’s gross negligence in negotiating contracts probably dooms us but Hope Springs Eternal so I’ll be there no matter what.

Unless we get better offensive coaching and targeting specific defensive weaknesses and calling more plays to our top playmakers we’ll be 9/8 or 10/7. Then one and done in playoffs…again.

They could win every one of those games, but it won’t mean shit if they fail in the post season.
