This season, the Dallas Cowboys have played some great football games. They've also had some really bad games. One fun activity I like to do during the season is rank each game based on how entertaining it was and how much fun I had watching it.
We have a big list to cover, so let's jump right into it.
#13: Week 1 — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Coming in last place is a game that I assume many people dreaded watching.
Not only did the Cowboys lose to Tom Brady yet again, but they didn't even enter the redzone once during this game.
With only a field goal scored by the Cowboys, the final score was 19-3.
The loss was the least of fans' worries though because, in the 4th quarter, Quarterback Dak Prescott broke his thumb and needed surgery. This injury would put him out for 5 weeks, resulting in fans losing their minds and thinking that the Cowboys season was over.
So yes, I and many other fans hate this game due to how many bad things occurred during it.
I am glad our team moved past this and is now on track to success.
#12: Week 4 — at Washington Commanders
This game was kind of a “meh” game as far as not too many crazy things happening.
The Cowboys won 25-10, Cooper Rush played great, and the defense was awesome as usual. This was just a fun game to watch due to the victory for Dallas.
#11: Week 7 — Detroit Lions
Dak Prescott's first game back was up and down. The Cowboys trailed the Lions 3-6 at halftime and fans thought this was shaping as a similar game to week one.
Luckily, after a goalline forced fumble by the Cowboys' defense, the offense was boosted back to where it needed to be.
Prescott and the offense would score 21 unanswered points in the second half and would win it 24-6.
This game wasn't bad to watch or anything, it was rather fun to see Dak return and win a game.
#10: Week 9 — at Green Bay Packers
Ok, lots to talk about here.
While this game had a disappointing ending, it was still rather fun.
I shouted at my TV in overtime telling Head Coach Mike McCarthy to kick a field goal and not go for it, which made this game pretty enjoyable for me.
I had a good time seeing how our offense performed in the first few quarters against a decent Green Bay team. Yes, our defense fell apart in the last quarter, but it was still a game full of emotion and fun.
#9: Week 13 — Houston Texans
This is where the fun begins. I had a lot of fun with all of them after this point.
I will admit, the Texans game was the only game that I missed this season, however, I did watch a replay of this game and it was super intense.
After watching the game I got a bad stomach ache just because of how close the Cowboys came to losing to the worst team in the league, but It was still really fun to see such a close game.
I was happy to see a 10-point comeback by our offense, but being worried about what this close call means for the future is scary.
The Cowboys and fans need to try to look past this near miss and keep playing like we have been (before this game).
Still, a fun exciting game that had me on the edge of my seat.
#8: Week 11 — New York Giants
Winning on Thanksgiving was the dessert all Cowboys fans wanted, and we got it.
I had a great time watching the Cowboys win this game after not having much luck last year on Thanksgiving. With a final score of 28-20, this was a great feeling to have.
However, I only speak for some.
Many bettors lost a lot of money on this game due to a final touchdown by the Giants at the end of the game to bring the spread within 10 points.
For those people, this game would be much lower on their list.
#7: Week 8 — Chicago Bears
This was a SUPER fun game. Seeing two great offenses play against each other was exciting.
Seventy-eight combined points were scored in this game with the Cowboys having 49 of them.
A cool highlight was seeing Micah Parsons pick up the fumble and score while having Justin Fields hurdle over him, failing to make the tackle.

#6: Week 6 — at Philadelphia Eagles
Yes, I know the Cowboys lost this game, but that doesn't mean it wasn't fun to watch.
The Eagles — who are still the best team in the NFL — beat the Cowboys with a score of 17-26 on Sunday Night Football. Primetime!
Tensions were high in this game, for both teams, which made it so much more fun to watch. There were times of frustration and anger but I just see that as part of a good football game.
The Cowboys played hard and nearly came back in a game in which we should have been blown out.
It was a fun game to watch with pizza and my family as we shouted at my most hated team in the NFL while trash-talking their entire history and team.
#5: Week 12 — Indianapolis Colts
This game had a lot of crazy twists and turns. When the Cowboys were only up 21-19 going into the 4th, many fans were worried and perplexed that they could lose this game.
Yet a strange occurrence took place as the Cowboys scored 33 unanswered points in the 4th quarter alone.
I am still shocked by how much they scored.
This game proved that the Cowboys have what it takes to be the best team in the NFL. Now, if only we could spread this paranormal talent to all four quarters.
#4: Week 2 — Cincinnati Bengals
Not many Cowboys fans even wanted to watch this game in the first place. After losing their star quarterback in the last game, many wanted to throw the season away and forget the year 2022 even happened, but along came a hero.
Backup Quarterback Cooper Rush came to save the day.
With an amazing defense and a quarterback with great passes and leadership qualities, the impossible happened.
The Cowboys beat the 2021-runner-up Super Bowl team after a catastrophic game the week before.
What a win this was. Watching Rush drive down the field at the end to set up a game-winning field goal was an amazing sight for all Cowboys fans to watch.
The game itself was a little bland at points and did not have many highlights, but the meaning of this win was much more important and satisfying than any highlight could deliver.
#3: Week 10 — at Minnesota Vikings
YESSSS, this game was fun.
After predicting that we would lose this game, I was so happy to be wrong. The Cowboys blew the Vikings out of the water at home to result in a score of 40-3.
This would be the Vikings' 2nd loss on the season (the first coming from the Eagles).
I felt like after this game the two best teams in the NFC were the Eagles and Cowboys. Dak Prescott and Tony Pollard played amazingly, along with the defense and literally everyone else on the team.
#2: Week 5 — at Los Angeles Rams
After being so hyped for this matchup, the outcome felt even better. You rarely see a Super Bowl team beaten with a backup quarterback.
It's even less likely to see a team beat both Super Bowl teams with their backup quarterback.
Linebacker Micah Parsons played great and was one reason the Cowboys won the game. I mean, when you have Parsons practically saying “Hello there” as he collides with Matthew Stafford for two total sacks, it's a very satisfying feeling for Cowboys fans.
While the defense put on one of the greatest performances I've ever seen with blocked punts and interceptions, this win meant a lot to me.
The Cowboys would go on to have a 4-1 record, just 4 weeks after losing all hope for the season.
#1: Week 3 — at New York Giants
This was not only my favorite game of the year but perhaps one of my favorite football games of all time.
I really like the Giants and Running Back Saquon Barkley is one of my favorite players in the NFL. I always love it when the Giants play the Cowboys but this game was also more intense than any other.
I felt like this game had the perfect mix of offense and defense for both teams.
Each team was equally matched and seeing Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore finally commit to the run game like fans have been asking for was a great cherry on top for Cowboys fans.
Watching this game on Monday Night Football was one of the best feelings I've had during a football game in a long time.
I was happy to see my boy Cooper Rush put up some strong stats and help lead the team to victory.
Overall, this season has been my favorite football season of all time.
I got into the sport 10 years ago when I was 9 and haven't had such an exciting season as this one. It's been so fun writing articles and being able to cheer for the Cowboys every weekend with great fans.
