Well, we have made it to week three, but for the Dallas Cowboys, the injuries are already starting to take a hit on them on the defensive side of the ball.
The main issue with this is because of how much time they are spending on the field, they have only forced two punts through the first two games of the year.
With that said, this trip to Rio is going to go either really well or awful, and with the running game the Ravens have, not having four starters on a bad defense, is not ideal.

Long Day Ahead?
Let’s be straight up about this game on Sunday. It is going to be about the Ravens running the football and if the Cowboys’ defense without four starters can find a way to slow it down.
It is bad enough that the game is being played on a horrible field at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The two professional soccer teams that play there have made it well known how bad shape the field is in.

Again, the one and only key to the game is stopping the ground game of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.
The Cowboys have given up over 200 yards on the ground after the first two weeks, and they are about to play the guy who will probably be the all-time leading rusher when he retires.
I have no concerns about the Dallas offense. They scored 7 of their 8 possessions last week against Washington and, dating back to week one, 9 out of their last 10.
I said it earlier this week in one of my other posts. I just don’t trust the Cowboys defense to get even one stop, let alone enough to give their offense the ball enough to win this game, and that is why I picked the Ravens to win somewhere in the low 30s, high 20s.
It would be a close enough game throughout, but the bad defense combined with the poor field conditions did not help Dallas.
Hold your ground. Force the NFL’s hand and see what they do. @JCTretter and @NFLPA are right to make player safety the priority.

Not having two guys in the secondary for Dallas also hurts. If Flowers does not end up playing for the Ravens, that will help, but the depth of this Dallas defense is not something us fans can trust, and we are going to get a taste of it only in two weeks.
Nobody thinks Dallas will win this game and, for good reason, this could be like week one and if the offense does not see the ball enough, the Ravens will just bleed as much clock as they can, and I am sure next week the Cowboys’ defense will have even more players on the injury report.
We will see how it goes, but if a player gets hurt on this horrible field, I am sure we will see some type of action be taken by either team, but this Sunday afternoon might be a long, long day.
