After another home loss, the Dallas Cowboys hit the road for a short week as they take on the New York Giants today for Thursday Night Football.
To win this game, the Cowboys just need to do the little things. The last two weeks were so hard to watch.
The Cowboys got most of their weapons back against the Ravens last week, but it still wasn’t enough. The defense got worked by the running game again, and the offense did not come alive until the 4th quarter.
They had a chance with about three minutes left to make a stop and get the ball back with a chance to tie or win the game, but folded again.
It seems as if the Cowboys are going to be without one of their corners that is filling in for DaRon Bland for the time being.

Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys listed eight players on their injury report for the game tonight. Two guys are doubtful, while the rest look as if they are going to play.
Being on a short week kinda throws things off as they got on the plane yesterday to head to New York, so we don’t get huge insight on what is going on, but we have enough.
No Designation:
- CB Trevon Diggs
- CB C.J. Goodwin
- WR CeeDee Lamb
- DE DeMarcus Lawrenece
- DT Mazi Smith
- Te John Stephens
Although Lamb and DLaw are on the list, they are going to play tonight.
Doubtful:
- S Markquese Bell
- CB Caelen Carson
So here we go. The Cowboys are now going to be without Carson and DaRon Bland. I understand it is the Giants, but they are running thin at cornerback.
It looks like Andrew Booth Jr is going to be the guy who needs to be the next man up for this football team.
The Vikings selected Booth in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Clemson. He suited up in just six games during his rookie campaign, undergoing knee surgery that November.
He rebounded to appear in all 17 games with one start in 2023, tallying eight tackles (seven solo), and one pass defended. Regardless of who he covers tonight, he needs to play solid ball out there.
New York Giants
The Giants have eight players on their final injury report heading into this matchup.
Two of them have already been ruled out, while one is questionable and the others do not have a status for the game.
No Designation:
- DL Dexter Lawrence (Foot)
- CB Nick McCloud (Knee)
- ILB Micah McFadden (Back)
- T Jermaine Eluemunor (Thumb)
- C John Michael Schmitz JR (Neck)
Dexter Lawrence is more than likely going to play, while Darius Slayton below is on the fence. That would be big for Dallas since they are going to be starting Booth in the secondary tonight.
Questionable:
- WR Darius Slayton (Thumb)
Qut:
- CB Adoree’ Jackson
- CB Dru Phillips
Both of the Giants slot corners are not going to play.
There is absolutely no reason why CeeDee Lamb and the rest of the bunch should not attack the Giants secondary. We will see how the offense plays this football game. Just throw it 50 times.
Mike McCarthy, please stop trying to force the run, and let Dak and Lamb beat up this New York back end.
The Cowboys need to win this game, because if they lose to the team they dominate on a short week, Mike McCarthy’s seat is going to be even hotter.
They have not looked good the last two weeks during a full week, so I can only imagine what they look like in a short week.
