With nearly half the season over for the , the team still sits in a decent spot to run down the Eagles for the division before they meet again in a few weeks.

After the team lost to Arizona, I did not know how the season would shape up after that; thus far, it has been just fine, with a long way to go.

The offense looked off early, but nine games through, it was time for some midseason awards for the team's most important players thus far after a 6-3 start.

MVP

.

Yes, Prescott has been the leader after nine weeks.

After leading the league in interceptions in 2022, he has been great so far, most of which has come after the wake-up call loss to the 49ers.

Since that game, he has been one of if not the best in football.

He currently has 2,415 yards, 17 touchdowns, and only six interceptions, which is near the bottom.

I will agree that he needs to do this and win against the handful of teams on the way.

Beat the Eagles, Bills, Dolphins, or Lions and man folks are going to take this conversation seriously.

Best Offensive Player

Prescott was the team MVP with the guy who just set an NFL record for 10 plus catches and 150 plus yards in three straight games.

CeeDee Lamb, if he didn't prove he was a true star last year, he sure has this year.

He only has one drop on the year and averages 103 yards per game.

After the 49ers loss, he made it a point to calling the plays and others that he needed the ball.

He has done nothing but produce since that game.

He and Prescott have one of the best connections in all of football.

Defensive MVP

We all know who takes the award for this one.

Although DaRon Bland has been fantastic this season after getting his role expanded with out for the year, is that guy.

Parsons pressures the opposing quarterbacks better than anyone in football. He faces more double teams than anyone in the league.

He has 7.5 sacks through the first nine games of the season.

Dan Quinn is doing a great job moving him all over the place, making him a tough matchup for other teams each week.

People are worried about his play against the Giants, but they didn't need him to even do anything to slow that Giants' offense down.

Relax.

He may see time at more like we noticed last week against the Giants.

has been ruled out for the year with that Neck injury, which many say might even put his career at risk.

The Cowboys have a lot of football left, and these awards could change from now until the end of the season.

The hardest part of the schedule is on the way after the next two weeks, and we will really find out who the most valuable players are for this football team.
