2021 NFL Draft: Dallas Cowboys Select UCLA DL Osa Odighizuwa

The Dallas Cowboys have selected Defensive Lineman Osa Odighizuwa with a 3rd-round pick, 75th overall, in the 2021 NFL Draft. He follows older brother Owa into the league after a five-year career at UCLA.

The Cowboys need help at both DE and DT and Odighizuwa has that position flexibility. He’s played tackle for the Bruins but has the athleticism to play on the ends in certain packages.

Dov Kleiman on Twitter: “With pick 75 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, the #Cowboys are selecting DT Osa Odighizuwa. / Twitter”

With pick 75 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, the #Cowboys are selecting DT Osa Odighizuwa.

Ironically, Osa will be hopefully filling the void left by the retirement of Tyrone Crawford. Having that same versatility on the defensive line, Crawford was also a 3rd-round pick for Dallas in 2012.

Welcome to the Cowboys, Osa Odighizuwa!

What do you think?

  1. Not the DT I would have chosen. But, when this whole process kicked off 4-5 months ago, Osa was projecting as a high to mid-2nd rounder before draftniks and scouts started talking themselves into putting other guys ahead of him.
