Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you all had a fiesta and rung in 2023 with a bang.

While most of you may still be asleep, I wanted to write something for those who are up early on this lovely Sunday morning.

As we all know, the Cowboys don't play today. For some, you may be thinking about what you're going to do with your day, and for others — it's a stress relief that you won't have to worry about them.

(I'm in the stress relief crowd.)

But sticking with the crowd who's confused about what to do with their day without Cowboys football, it's okay to freak out about not being able to watch the Boys. I get it. They are your team.

But I'm here to share with you that there is hope and things you can do to keep your day rolling — while also keeping yourself entertained.

So, with that in mind, let's get the ball and new year, new editorial piece rolling.

Stress only about your fantasy championship.

If you're like me, you're in the fantasy football championship. Either you're stressing about who to throw in your lineup since they're several players resting or injured across the league, or you're all set with your players.

However, as we know, anything can happen in fantasy.

But now imagine if you had to stress about your team and the Cowboys. See, now be thankful that it all works out – since all your attention can be devoted to watching NFL RedZone or constantly clicking through multiple games.

Also, for those competing in fantasy leagues that have Week 18 championships – you're weird.

Cheer on the Saints, Colts, and Browns.

Although the Cowboys already won this week, it doesn't mean they can't get other “little” wins. If we look at their rivals, we see that the Eagles take on the Saints, the Giants face the Colts, and the Commanders battle the Browns.

While the Boys already have a playoff berth locked up – there is still a chance that they can win the division. They need the Eagles to drop their game against the Saints and next week versus the Giants. Given the Boys beat the Commanders in Week 18, they could win the NFC East.

It may be a long shot, but anything is possible.

Shifting to the Colts and Browns, if those two teams beat the Giants and Commanders — it doesn't affect the Boys. However, they decrease their odds of clinching a playoff berth.

And I don't know about you all, but seeing division rivals fail makes me a happy fan.

Go Colts. Go Browns. Also, for those curious about how close the NFL Playoff standings are, check them out here.

Argue with other fans about the season, relieve old memories of the Cowboys.

If there was one thing that could be said about every Cowboys fan, it has to be that they love to argue about the team. Whether it's about a player, coach, game, et cetera — it's always an endless debate with other fans.

So, to stay with the spirit, find a platform or friend to argue about the Boys. And whether you win or lose that debate, take it upon yourself to search for some video on your favorite Cowboy memories to make yourself feel better.

I always joke with my friends that if the Cowboys somehow win the Super Bowl – I would bet a lot of money that fans would still complain about the game – and debate about each player/play.

But now that I think about it — it's likely true.

So there you go, those are three things you can do without Cowboys football on a Sunday. I mean, of course, you can be productive and get some chores and errands done or maybe go outside for once. But it's football time, baby. Enjoy it while you can.
