DAL 9, PHI 7: Cowboys Build Rare Halftime Lead on Eagles Turnovers

The Dallas Cowboys haven’t done much so far tonight but for once are winning the turnover battle. With two fumble recoveries and an interception, all from Carson Wentz, Dallas has a shocking 9-7 halftime lead over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Greg Zuerlein has gone 3-for-3 on field foals, including a 59-yarder to close the half, as the lone scorer for the Cowboys. They only have 92 yards of total offense so far.

Thankfully, Wentz and the Eagles are even more dysfunctional right now. Carson’s been sacked three times behind a makeshift offensive line and has continued to be loose with the ball as he has all season.

It’s hard to fathom why Philadelphia doesn’t just keep running the ball after Dallas gave up 89 yards in the first half alone. Boston Scott has 63 yards on just nine carries.

Meanwhile, Ezekiel Elliott has been stymied with 32 yards on 10 carries. Rookie QB Ben DiNucci has been intriguing mostly ineffective with just 67 passing yards on 7-of-17 passing. He’s had several bad throws which could’ve easily been interceptions

Will the Eagles clean it up and take control in the second half, or will the Cowboys complete the upset? We’ll find out as the second half begins shortly.
