Recent comments by a talking head who doesn’t usually draw headlines has social media buzzing once again.
The subject is Dak Prescott. What’s new?
These slanderous and completely biased sports talk shows know that criticizing any member of the Dallas Cowboys organization draws the best ratings.
The latest outrageous comments came from the mouth of Joy Taylor as the host of Speak on FS1.
If you’re a Cowboys fan and don’t live under a rock, you are familiar with what she had to say.
“Dak Prescott is not talented enough to reach an NFC Championship Game.” – Joy Taylor
Some Cowboys fans, like myself, were left speechless at the baseless and uneducated comment.
Other fans were quick to point out lesser quarterbacks over the years who have made it to a conference championship game.
Taylor’s comments got the gears in my Cowboys brain moving.
I decided to take a look back at quarterbacks who have made it past the Divisional round of the playoffs, and how they don’t measure up to the Cowboys’ QB1.
For the sake of keeping this article under 20,000 words, I will only examine quarterbacks from the 2010 season forward.
Honorable Mentions
- 2010 Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears
- 2010 Mark Sanchez, New York Jets
- 2019 Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers
- 2022 Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
First off, let’s take Prescott’s best season as comparison for the rest of the list.
Dak Prescott
Year: 2021
Record: 11-5
PPG: 31.2 (1st)
Yds Per Game: 278.1
Completion Rate: 68.8%
TD/INT: 37/10
QB Rating: 104.2
Supporting Cast
- Ezekiel Elliott
- Tony Pollard
- Amari Cooper
- CeeDee Lamb
- Michael Gallup (not available for postseason)
- Dalton Schultz
Defense
PPG: 21.1 (7th)
Takeaways: 34 (1st)
The 2021 Cowboys season ended in a home Wildcard loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
It was a huge disappointment based on how complete the team was.
Prescott finished with a 3.7:1 TD/INT ratio. The best of his career.
He had three wide receivers who were talented enough to start on other NFL teams.
Dallas finished the regular season with the #1 scoring offense in the league at 31.2 points per game.
The Cowboys lost Michael Gallup to a torn ACL late in the season.
An injury to one of their top playmakers coupled with an offensive scheme that was predictable did not go over well against one of the best defenses in the NFL.
Dak couldn’t do more with less, but he is far from the only culprit that kept Dallas from the NFC Championship game.
A franchise playoff record 14 penalties and the inability to stop the 49ers rushing attack are more to blame than Prescott.
In addition to not being able to stop the 49ers running attack, Dallas could not run the ball themselves.
Going down 23-7 near the end of the 3rd quarter made the Cowboys’ offense one-dimensional.
Knowing Dallas needed to throw the ball, 49ers Defensive Coordinator DeMeco Ryans’ defense was allowed to do what they do best.
Pin their ears back and rush the passer.
It led to another early playoff exit where QB Dak Prescott was unfairly held solely culpable by the media.
Russell Wilson
Year: 2013
Record: 13-3
PPG: 26.1 (9th)
Yds Per Game: 209.8
Completion Rate: 63.1%
TD/INT: 26/9
QB Rating: 101.2
Supporting Cast
- Marshawn Lynch
- Golden Tate
- Doug Baldwin
- Percy Harvin
- Jermaine Kearse
- Zach Miller
Defense
PPG: 14.4 (1st)
Takeaways: 51 (1st)
Yes, I know Russell Wilson is a Super Bowl champion quarterback.
However, in 2013 he was just a 2nd year player who was carried by an above average rushing attack and an elite defense.
The 2013 season was the birth of Marshawn “Beastquake” Lynch and the “Legion of Boom”.
Cowboys fans should know this defense all too well.
The coordinator of that defense was none other than Dallas’ very own Dan Quinn.
On offense, Marshawn Lynch had 1,573 yards from scrimmage and 14 touchdowns.
Seattle’s offense was also catered to Wilson’s strengths as a runner.
He added 539 yards rushing of his own, mainly out of the read option concept.
The real reason the Seahawks reached the NFC Conference Championship, and eventually the Super Bowl, was the defense.
It’s considered one of the best to ever line up on the field for a reason.
Just take a look at these names, and imagine they are all in their prime, because they were.
- Cliff Avril
- Michael Bennett
- Brandon Mebane
- Bruce Irvin
- K.J. Wright
- Malcolm Smith
- Bobby Wagner
- Kam Chancellor
- Earl Thomas
- Richard Sherman
- Byron Maxwell
That is a fierce lineup that held Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints to 15 points in the Wildcard round.
They then held the 49ers to 17 points in the conference championship, and held the record breaking Broncos offense to eight points in the Super Bowl.
Meanwhile, Wilson himself averaged 14 completions for 174 yards and threw only three touchdowns during that entire playoff run.
So is Russ more talented than Dak? Maybe he eventually got to that point, but not in 2013.
Blake Bortles
Year: 2017
Record: 10-6
PPG: 26.1 (5th)
Yds Per Game: 230.4
Completion Rate: 60.2%
TD/INT: 21/13
QB Rating: 84.7
Supporting Cast
- Leonard Fournette
- T.J. Yeldon
- Keelan Cole
- Marqise Lee
- Allen Hurns
- Dede Westbrook
- Marcedes Lewis
Defense
PPG: 16.8 (2nd)
Takeaways: 33 (2nd)
Blake Bortles was taken as the third overall pick by the Jaguars in the 2014 NFL Draft.
The 2017 season was the only year where he had a winning record as a starting quarterback.
Bortles never lived up to the hype of his draft stock.
He also never returned to the playoffs outside of 2017, and last appeared in an NFL game in 2019.
Like Wilson mentioned above, Bortles was mostly carried by the running game and above average defense.
Rookie RB Leonard Fournette racked up 1,342 total yards and 10 touchdowns in just 13 regular season games.
T.J. Yeldon was also a capable backup who spelled Fournette with minimal drop off in production.
The real story here is the defense.
Led by Defensive Coordinator Todd Walsh, the 2017 Jaguars defense is considered historical by many.
They led the league in completion percentage (56.8%), passing yards allowed (169.9), passer rating (68.5), and defensive touchdowns (7).
Jacksonville also ranked 2nd in sacks (55), interceptions (21), total takeaways (33), yards allowed (286.1), and points allowed (16.8).
Any quarterback would be lucky to receive that much support from his defense.
Bortles’ playoff run was subpar, as was most of his regular season stats.
In three postseason games, Bortles averaged 16 completions for 198 yards passing.
He accounted for only three total touchdowns, and fumbled the football four times.
Is Bortles more talented than Dak? He certainly was drafted to be, but it never panned out.
Even in his best season.
Case Keenum
Year: 2017
Record: 11-3
PPG: 23.9 (10th)
Yds Per Game: 236.5
Completion Rate: 67.6%
TD/INT: 22/7
QB Rating: 98.3
Supporting Cast
- Latavius Murray
- Jerick McKinnon
- Stefon Diggs
- Adam Thielen
- Michael Floyd
- Kyle Rudolph
Defense
PPG: 15.8 (1st)
Takeaways: 19 (23rd)
Case Keenum is a journeyman quarterback who was thrust into a starting role for the Vikings in the only season he ever played for them.
Sam Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater both suffered season ending injuries that allowed Keenum to start 14 games.
Supported by the #1 scoring defense in the league, Keenum needed a miracle to advance to the conference championship.
The Minneapolis Miracle, to be exact.
Keenum did average 295 yards passing in two playoff games during that run.
However, he only accounted for two touchdowns, and was responsible for four turnovers.
Throughout the regular season, Keenum had eight games where he threw one touchdown or less, including three games with zero.
Is Keenum more talented than Dak? Not by a longshot.
Ryan Tannehill
Year: 2019
Record: 8-4
PPG: 25.1 (10th)
Yds Per Game: 228.5
Completion Rate: 70.3%
TD/INT: 22/6
QB Rating: 117.5
Supporting Cast
- Derrick Henry
- Dion Lewis
- AJ Brown
- Corey Davis
- Adam Humphries
- Jonnu Smith
Defense
PPG: 20.7 (12th)
Takeaways: 23 (11th)
Ryan Tannehill is a college wide receiver who made the switch to quarterback in the NFL.
Originally drafted by the Miami Dolphins, Tannehill was released after the 2018 season.
He promptly found a starting job with the Titans for the 2019 season, and it ended up being the best season of his career.
The Titans’ magical run ended with a conference championship game loss to the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
Tennessee squeezed into the playoffs at 9-7 with a Week 17 win over Houston coupled with a Pittsburgh loss to Baltimore.
On the road in the Wildcard round, the 6th seed Titans stunned the 3rd seed Patriots in Foxborough.
The following week in the Divisional round, they won in even more surprising fashion, knocking off the 1st seed Ravens in Baltimore.
In those two games, the load was carried by a stifling defense that limited Tom Brady’s offense to 13 points, and the Ravens to 12.
RB Derrick Henry kept the defense off of the field in those two games, churning out 182 and 195 yards on 30 and 34 carries, respectively.
Tannehill’s contribution was minimal.
His averages in those first two playoff games were seven completions for 80 yards.
He did throw for three touchdowns, but they were short and setup by play action inside the 10 yard line.
Tannehill’s luck ran out against the Chiefs.
The defense gave up 35 points to Mahomes and Kelce, and Henry only managed 69 yards on the ground.
Is Tannehill more talented than Dak?
Go find me a playoff game where Dak threw for less than 100 yards TWICE, then come back and see me.
Where Does Dak Stand Now?
There is a common theme from these less talented quarterbacks making conference championship games.
Efficient play, above average rush offenses, and elite defenses.
Everyone knows Dak had an interception “problem” in 2022.
That notion has since been dispelled by film nerds, showing the scheme and poor wide receiver play did him no favors.
I expect a full bounce back to the 2021 Prescott that was used as the example above.
If last year is any indication, Prescott will have at least one of the other factors of the formula this coming season.
The Cowboys have come a long way from the putrid Mike Nolan defense of 2020 that set franchise worst records in many categories.
This is now year three under Dan Quinn, and I am personally expecting this defense to be the absolute best in the league.
The running game is the wildcard here.
Fan favorite Ezekiel Elliott is now gone after seven seasons.
Dallas did not draft a replacement, and seemingly are giving the reins to the explosive Tony Pollard.
Pollard is coming off of the best season of his career. A season in which he finally got more opportunity.
However, questions at left guard and right tackle could spell trouble for the rushing attack.
One factor that may alleviate that situation a bit is the implementation of Mike McCarthy’s West Coast philosophy into the current scheme.
The Texas Coast offense, as it’s been labeled, utilizes short horizontal passes in place of rushing attempts in an effort to spread defenses thin from sideline to sideline.
This, in turn, leads to wider running lanes for running backs.
There is one thing that I am certain of, however.
Rayne Dakota Prescott is more than talented enough to get Dallas past the Divisional round, and into the conference championship.
I’ll even go as far as saying he can win the conference championship, make a Super Bowl appearance, and win that game as well.
However the season shakes out, odds are that Joy Taylor and many others will be eating crow in February 2024.
Nothing that race hustling pig says does
Every time you write one of these, you just sound like a homer apologist…..he needs to win to be great….that’s the end of the story….Joy is a moron, but if she’d have said “Dak HASN’T been talented enough to reach the championship rounds” she’d have been correct….he has not been able to elevate his or his teammates play….that’s fact
Mike Johnson Jr. And he’s had more than enough talent around him too get it done nearly every year.
As a Cowboys fan. And to all you hypocrites out there. Just answer this question. Has Dak reached the NFC championship?? Yes or no?
You’re sitting here , getting butt hurt over her comments. He’s not talented to the reach the NFC championship. He hasnt, so there’s your answer.
Y’all’ want to settle for mediocre, fine!! Let’s stay with Dak and be satisfied with winning the wildcard or division. It’s a joke.
Allowing one to speak their mind is a right. But to have ignorance isn’t. When commenting or leaving proper information on the Cowboys, he’s correct. I agree with him all the way on everything that he stated mentioned and provided. He’s not biased about anybody he just has a favorite team and I completely understand. And joy being a female in the sports industry, says what she says to get her ratings up, and if that’s what she feels let her feel like that if this is how Michael Herrera feels, Lamb stated no need for stating Homer apologetics, but anyways, Cowboys are gonna put up a good fight this year they always do.
Too get too nfc championship or superbowl as a qb. You better be elite or cheap. Elite you can carry lessor supporting casts ala mahomes. Cheap the supporting cast can carry you-everyone mentioned in this article.
Dak is neither.
Jesse Huntington LMAO Mahomes has plenty of a supporting cast around him
Arnie Williamson less than dak by far. Gallup would of been his best wr, a nobody at rb, and and average defense on a good day.
I’m not sure dak could get the chiefs in the playoffs, but certainly no where near championship level
Jesse Huntington you’re comparing him to the best QB in the league. Of course he’s going to look average or below average if you do that. How about comparing him to what his is…a fourth round draft pick. I’d say he holds up and then some. The real problem was paying him Superstar money and then expecting him to carry an entire offense.
Chad Andrew yea we are on the same page. It’s the money. Paying any non elite is stupid.
She’s too ignorant to even realize she doesn’t have a qualified “opinion”.
But Kirk Kuykendall does? You should be the “unbuckled guy” in a vehicle crash test…your opinion means less by faaaarrrrr
She has no talent and we all know why she has a job in the first place.
Hussien Khafaji she knows a lot more than you do, and tell us how she got her job in the first place, you seem to know it all
Hussien Khafaji I’d take her word over any delusional cowboys fan.
Mike Groves coming from a Eagles fan who is lurking on Dallas sports pages, what a joke.
We sure did enjoy seeing Philly lose every championship in every sport in one year, that’s something we all know lol
Media: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10113632509289140&set=p.10113632509289140&type=3
Daniel Pettie what are you doing on a Cowboys fan page? Seems like your the delusional and lost one here.
Hussien Khafaji tell me the last time the Cowboys were relevant, and let me know what they’ve done in this century
Hussien Khafaji the Eagles are 24-22 against Dallas since 2000,
The Eagles were in 7 NFC championship games since 2000 how many were the Cowboys in ?
The Eagles have 16 playoff wins since 2000 how many do the Cowboys have?
The Eagles have won the division 10 times since 2000, the Cowboys only 6
The Eagles have been in 3 Super Bowls since 2000 how many of the Cowboys been in?
20th century is over
I believe what Joy Taylor meant to say is…
that She can never win a Beauty Contest!
DC4L!!!!
He’s had the tools for success for atleast the past 4 – 5 seasons, hasn’t made it yet………sooooooo she’s definitely onto something.
Abel Castro Absolutely!!!!
Abel Castro FUCK OFF IDIOTS!!
Abel Castro what if I told you the 1990s play calling that Dallas has seen since their last Super Bowl sucks? People call for Daks head but no a peep about play calling.
Cody Rollo y’all keep forgetting the main part, which is coaching and play calling. Dak has had Garrett and Moore, Garrett has been mostly 8-8 or 9-7. McCarthy comes in it’s 12-5, the next year the team is 12-5 but loose the play off the exact same way in ’21-’22 with Moore, but haters won’t look at anyone but Dak.
William T Clark Jr McCarthy sucks also. Nobody but the cowboys were knocking. You could have the absolute repeat coaches in the league, but if you can’t execute the play………..fumble, INT, throw to absolutely nobody Dak’s MO
Cody Rollo well McCarthy has coached back to back 12-5 seasons. I guess you like the 6-4, 8-8, maybe 9-7 coaching by the clapper.
William T Clark Jr and you Dak lovers blame everyone else but Dak. It was the coach, oh wait it’s the WRs, oh no now it’s the OC. What was the same through it all? Dak
William T Clark Jryou must have forgotten Garrett had the Number 2 offense in ’07 and finished top 5 almost every year he was calling plays? And weren’t the cowboys near the top with moore and his juvenile play calling? Sometimes you have to realize the Qb has been the only other constant.
Chris Fountain no if you use facts, every defense in the league said they had Moore figured out. Heck Moore called the same 2015 plays over and over. I love the TEAM, been a fan since ’71. Answer your own question, what was the same through it all? Dumb play calling. But as I stated before haters think Dak should QB, play defense, kick, punt return, punt, play call coach, be a receiver, block, be the running back etc. Be honest with yourself and stop being a parrot like other haters and repeat everything they say. Let’s do something you haters hate….stats, which are nothing more than NFL facts. 25,000 passing yards, 2,200 completions, 166 tds, 26 rushing tds and only 65 interceptions. Best career passer rating in Cowboys HISTORY, best career passing percentage in Cowboys HISTORY. I know, I know haters say–> Dak pad stats.Smh, how is that when the league are the ones recording them?? Ok go on move the goal post again.
Raul Thomas Gaytan III what are you talking about?? I’m speaking on COACH GARRETT, which he didn start coaching til 2011. Did I say what Moore’s status was? I said he called a bad play in ’21 quarterback sneak with seconds left, ’22 Zeke as center…dumbest play in NFL history. ‘ team is ’21 team is 12-5, lose the playoff, ’22 team is 12-5 lose the playoff. Ok hater keep believing the hype.
William T Clark Jr I’m talking 2007 offensive coordinator Garrett. Same play calling, but I guess he had better talent at Qb then. Hater? How. Because dak sucks it makes me a hater? Go drink some more of daks jock juice you delusional cowboys fan
Raul Thomas Gaytan III yeah if you THINK Romo was a better QB good for you.
Cody Rollo agree. People just wanna make excuses for Dak. Tony Brady lost all his WR’s and made 4 and 5 WR’s look good. And it really doesn’t matter who you have if you’re going to overthrow passes nobody’s going to catch it. I’m so sick of these Prescott excuses. Nobody else around the League talks like this about their quarterback. I can’t wait for Parson at the end of the season to throw him under the bus because I know it’s coming.
Cody Rollo you couldn’t have read the article!
Cody Rollo nobody else in the league criticize their Qb as much as cowboy fans do . Dak is the only Qb that the fans has done this to hands down. That’s mainly the reason I support him! He hasn’t done no less than any other Qb except Superbowl! I fact he has been better. Troy Aikman, Roger Stachback , better carries over the past 25 years! That’s it. If yiu can’t name a Qb to bring in now who isn’t already spoken for you might as well tuck your your head!
William T Clark Jr LOL
Dak suckers always say, “well who else is available” like that’s a good argument….dak is the weakness on a superbowl caliber team and has been for a while… Tony and Jason also had 12 win seasons and that’s with the defense blowing the game, dak doesn’t have that excuse because HE blows the game….constantly.
Joseph Duckett Hell if Tony had this team we’d have won 2/3 of the last 3 superbowls…. hell we beat both teams last year….WITHOUT DAK….
William T Clark Jr yea, yea Dak has great stats. Watched him throw 5 TDs in one game against eagles practice squad. He is a good QB, but doesn’t win the big games.
Chris Fountain how many did you see him throw against a prior Superbowl Tampa team? BTW that was not that Eagles practice team. The same team Hurts used to win against the Cowboys. Same defense
William T Clark Jr that wasn’t close to being the eagles team that beat the cowboys and that was nowhere close to the Tampa team that won a super bowl lol
Chris Fountain who’s fault was it when Dak came back from a broken thumb and threw the most TDs for the rest of the year of any QB?
Leon Rogers Hell , I was a Romo fan but , but you know damn well that statement is ridiculous! Great defenses win championships!
Chris Fountain I don’t know what you were watching, but that was the same defense that was there only difference is their starter won when our backup was in and we won when their backup was in. And Tampa had the same that won the Superbowl. I SAD PRIOR SUPERBOWL TAMPA, WHICH MEANS I’M SPEAKING OF ’21 DUH
William T Clark Jr oh we are talking about different games. I was talking about the last game two years ago when Dak set the TD record for Dallas throwing against practice players
Chris Fountain yeah ok
Joseph Duckett why didn’t the Cowboys win one with Romo under center then?? Please don’t come back with “if Romo had”
Joshua Milner dont state facts. Dak haters see them as excuses
William T Clark Jr Wrong person to ask why Romo didn’t win one , but defense in my opinion had alot to do with it , plus a bunch of bad breaks! Just like Dak ! Team ! No Great team around them yet ! Dak might have a great team , offense and defense this year!
William T Clark Jr and what did those 12 wins seasons get them? Out in the wild card and oh boy made it to divisional and out
So she told her opinion which seems like it’s close to the truth…and now Jerry sics his paid bloggers on her in a desperate attempt to help failing #4 jerseys sales
Abel Castro cowboys fans will attack you with fake stats and alotta crying
Daniel Pettie yup. They their hero sucks. Big time choker. Can’t beat elite teams couldn’t hit the side of a barn if his life dependent on it another Quincy Carter below average
%3Fkid%3Dbe302117%26ct%3Ds&h=AT0zBTFlpr4YyNRI9AjxX_n8x5ypLnCPTDhSxmhZV4y-COaoVCHx9lZzPT-BRBzFTzu19LbxkJr64RFkPNco-AggfQVRpfFaWphpIWY77wM-woUcDQCNYR2lBaL9_CNd&s=1
Media:
who asked her to speak no NOTHINGNESS Heffa….
She is correct, what is the problem.
Loyd Moore gtfoh
Kevin Sampson you a clown
Why am I a clown because I dnt just run with what the masses say…….Dak is no worse than the same white QBs they praise your the clown you just wanna smash the brother without statistical evidence gtfoh
Explain this shyt to me this brother on the same path as them white boys y’all praise but he’s getting bashed gtfoh
Media: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1971837139830846&set=p.1971837139830846&type=3
So compare his seven seasons with them “so called GREAT ASS WHITE BOYS” and where do he stand……talk to me…….punk mfa
Fukk Joy too it’s easy in media to smash on the brothers tell Joy to sukk a dick
Loyd Moore Jerry Jones !!!
Loyd Moore….you’re a moron, just like she is…
Kevin Sampson Kirk Cousins has about the same stats as Dak yet everyone says he sucks and they all act like Dak is the best qb that has ever played
No excuses this year for Dak.
Great! Research and I approve this message.
At this point – today – she is correct. Until proven wrong, she will remain correct.
I agree with her.
There’s No excuses for Dak this season.
Edward Morado won’t you just call him Tony Romo Jr cuz that’s what the outcome is and it’s going to be his last days and Dallas watch and see go Raiders
Charlie Young Tony was a better qb, he just didn’t have the defense we have now. Hopefully we’ll have 10-12 wins by Xmas when I go to game in Miami
@Edward Morado Stay tuned there likely will be yet more excuses.
If she was Molly Q I would give her the benefit of doubt, but she’s not! Not even close! Or she wants to be the SAS female version! Go Cowboys!
She was spot on
Jeffery Love I feel special calling someone like you my friend sorry for infringing on your comment , but I must say you have a wonderful profile and your post are Worth reading but so sad enough we’re not friends here on Facebook and I’ve been trying to send you a request but it keeps on declining would you mind sending me a friend request just wanna be honest friends. Thanks and remain blessed
Who cares what this person say she ain’t the first and show ain’t the last get a real job!!!!
Sondra Wolfe funny y’all never had issue with Romo criticism
Hank Armentrout That’s because there wasn’t any
Michael Evans it’s obvious you’re new to the Cowboys and by the way, Wak Prescott is a gagging bum loser
Hank Armentrout nah I’ve been watching the Cowboys since this play happed so you can stay in your lane when it come to questioning my fandom
Media: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=9874706205933673&set=p.9874706205933673&type=3
Michael Evans I was watching it when the Hail Mary happened. I wore 12 as a high school QB because of some navy guy
Love Him
I’d like to debate this statement. The Cowboys had gotten the ball back with 7:20 left down 16-7 when Dakky threw an interception at our 25. THATS HOW it became 23-7. So after defense JUST MADE ANOTHER STOP Dak handed the ball right back. Not to mention Dak got the ball with over 2:00 and multiple timeouts and was last seen running the last 14 seconds off the clock and blaming the refs. So enough with the Bullshi+ blaming others cause our QB4 is a gagging azz loser
Media: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=7121952194499696&set=p.7121952194499696&type=3
Really Serious who she supposed to be beside a hater
Well he hasn’t prove her wrong in eight seasons
He’s only had 7 seasons,
this is His 8th!
do Your research!
It will soon be 8!
Just following the fellas! Stupid move!
dak still sucks
She’s as big a loser as LeSean McCoy.
She’s not lying
Mickey Neiman she knows she’s lying but she got you to believe her that’s all she care about why didn’t she lay out the facts
Mickey Neiman well I watched her show to until I got tired of watching garbage shady McCoy get away with no facts so Joy decided if works for Shady then she would try it to and for me you don’t know me and I never said Dak retired Brady wasn’t even thinking about Brady but that’s not the only garbage that Joy has put out there about Dak that ain’t true and if she didn’t put garbage out there about Dak she probably wouldn’t have a job it’s called ratings and you know it
I will gladly eat crow if DP gets them to a SB. However, I am not holding my breath, as my opinion on DP is probably known here.
After that long, well-crafted, and selective article, Mario, you still gave yourself a little hedge (“questions at left guard…”) at the end.
She is horrible anyway…. who listens to her anyway
Calling this slander is the funniest thing ever
Kip Brown
Dwayne Jenkins them clowns are looking for clicks.
West Coast Cowboy
Well Joy Taylor knew they didn’t hold weight or anything else but we are talking about Joy Taylor and that’s what she wants even if are talking about how she don’t make any sense and really ridiculous and and so much like the other guy who don’t read on that show and don’t deal in facts
After all these years that’s what you call Tony Romo Jr
I would be saying the exact same thing. Fly eagles fly. I’m happy Dak is a cowboy. He ducks.
Sucks*
She nailed it but it doesn’t fit the protect Dak at all cost narrative being spewed all over the place.
Cowboys4life
I turn to something else every time she’s on one of the Shows! She is not a good Sports Analyst!
I mean… it’s true until it isn’t, right? He hasn’t yet. In fact, he’s crumbled in some very key moments. And before you start, I’m really not interested in hearing about all his regular season accomplishments. We’re all VERY aware by now. For every Dak critic, there’s a guy who can’t help but defend him as vehemently as they would their sister’s honor.
Scott McWilliams …you’re a fucking moron…when the offense puts up 30 plus points and the team loses. It’s not the qb who’s the problem…
Mark Duggan Cool story, Einstein. Who’s fault is it when the defense holds the opposing team to a very beatable 23 points and the offense can’t scratch together more than 17? Let me guess. That wasn’t Dak’s fault? Spare me. There’s always an excuse with you guys. Take his bean bag out of your mouth long enough to get some oxygen to your brain, then try watching a few games. It doesn’t take long to see the cracks when you actually start looking.
She was right on point.
I agree with her Dak is not good enough to get the Cowboys to a Conference championship game he’s Romo 2.0 good in September, October and November but lousy after Thanksgiving
David Seitz Really? Dak is 19-6 all time in December #casual
Michael Evans he’s also 2-4 in the playoffs which is unacceptable
You know the sign of a really good QB he can make his receivers better. In Dak’s cause it’s the receivers that make him look good. Joy isn’t wrong in her assessment Dak isn’t good enough to take us to an NFC championship let alone a SB but she didn’t say the Cowboys can’t get to a championship because we do have enough talent to get there but we have to rely on the run game and the defense not Dak
As A Cowboys Fan It’s Just Better To Act Like You Live Under A Rock, When It Comes To The Cowboys Because A lot Of The Sports Media People Are A Bunch Of Goddamn Communists And I Wouldn’t Be Sad If They Died
She’s absolutely right. No story here
I agree with her 100%
Danny Wood I agree 100%, anything short of a SB and we need to move on from him
Bret Hawkins
Shock value.
Brock Purdy reached the NFC Championship in his first year. Jimmy G made it to a Super Bowl and 2nd NFC Championship game. Prescott sucks. Joy is beautiful and right.
