Brandin Cooks, the former Houston Texans, and Los Angeles Rams WR, was traded to Dallas in March.
Cooks joins CeeDee Lamb, who has proved his worth as a No. 1 guy, and Michael Gallup, who finally gets an entire offseason after his ACL injury.
Cooks appeared on NFL Network Thursday and is ready to bring his veteran leadership to the team. Cooks told Maurice Jones-Drew and Patrick Claybon.
He said he is eager to bring veteran leadership and production to a special group of receivers.
“I think just going into Year 10, being able to have special receivers around me like, not only from a production role that I'm expecting but also from a role of being able to lead,” Cooks said.

“So I think that's what I'm looking to bring. So obviously, I want to get back to winning, and however that looks, I'm willing to do it.”
That is exactly what Cooks is going to do in Dallas. Say all you want; this room has taken a complete 180 since July last year.
We talked about Noah Brown and Dennis Houston; now we get Cooks and Gallup. Yes, please.
Cooks also noted that he's ready to get back to his productive self. After a down year with the struggling 3-13-1 Texans a year ago, Cooks knows it's time to bounce back.
“It's time to get back,” Cooks said on NFL Total Access.
“All the offensive weapons we have, I'm just going to do my best to the best of my ability, and when we look up at the end of the season, we'll see where we're at.”

Since entering the league in 2014, Cooks has been one of only seven players n the league with more than 8,500 receiving yards and more than 45 receiving touchdowns. He has 8,616 yards and 49 touchdowns.
Of those nine seasons he has been catching passes, he has over 1,000 yards in all but THREE.
He produces everywhere he goes.

Trading for Cooks and former Defensive Player of the Year Stephon Gilmore, I have been a Cowboys fan all my life, and he finally knows the window is closing.
This team will be fun to watch. I hope fans can relinquish their hate for a certain quarterback and ROOT for their favorite team.
I mentioned yesterday in one of my post that time is running out for myself to continue to believe in Dak Prescott, but let's be real.
The team had to sign T.Y Hilton at the end of last season because nobody outside of Lamb could get open.
This season is going to be a lot different. Cooks and Gallup are going to open up a lot of great matchups for each other, and who knows maybe Jalen Tolbert get's into the action.
The one worry Dallas will have is who is coming to emerge as the go to tight end this season?
I say ride the hot hand each game, and see where it goes.
Nonetheless, team is 1000 times better shape in July than last, but remember Jerry “likes his guys.”
