When the lost Byron Jones to the Miami Dolphins is it catapulted the position to the top of their needs when the NFL Draft came about in April. After stealing at 17 in the first round, they snagged another stud in Cornerback at 51, a player some had mocked to the Cowboys in the first round.

With the current COVID-19 pandemic putting a roadblock on normal offseason protocol for the NFL, as far as mini-camps and training at team facilities, players are taking it upon themselves to stay in top physical condition. In the video below, Diggs is getting in work with trainer J. Hicks, a footwork/movement specialist. Diggs does a great job with his quick feet and looks fluid in his speed turns, which is very important when defending small and shifty receivers.

Diggs has also put his skills to the test against some of the league's best receivers while preparing for his first NFL season. Not only was he seen going head-to-head with JuJu Smith-Schuster of the Pittsburgh Steelers but even his own brother Stefon Diggs of the Buffalo Bills. Known as a receiver with incredible footwork, Stefon is a perfect workout partner for Trevon, and let's face it, nothing can bring out the best in you like competing against your brother.

The Cowboys have revamped their secondary with the additions of Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Maurice Canady, Daryl Worley, and fellow rookie Reggie Robinson, who was a steal himself at cornerback in the fourth round. However, the crown jewel as far as upgrades on the back end is Diggs, who by all indications will be the Cowboys CB1 for the foreseeable future. His physicality at the line of scrimmage, length, and previous background playing the wide receiver position, which gives him an advantage when it comes to making plays on the ball, have Diggs set up to be very successful on the NFL level.
