CeeDee Lamb suffers high ankle sprain, expected to miss at least 3 weeks

Could Cowboys consider blockbuster trade if losses pile up?

Well, if this Monday morning was not bad enough already, official news just dropped that CeeDee Lamb will likely miss at least a couple of games.

Reports this afternoon that Lamb suffered a high ankle sprain during Sunday’s loss to the Bears that makes him unlikely to play Sunday night vs. the Packers and is looking to be out the next three to four weeks.

The Cowboys want to see how Lamb is doing in the next 10–14 days, but that is not going to help. He will still miss the time.

Let me also say this, it bothers me even more that this happened because they lined him up at running back.

Oh Boy

Well, if you thought it was bad, it just got even worse. I think they fall to 1-and-3 after this week against the Packers, or shock everyone like the Browns did and pull off the upset.

Without CeeDee Lamb, it becomes Goerge Pickens and everyone else. The running game will likely take a bit of a hit because they don’t have to worry about very good wide outs.

Stephen Jones during a Monday appearance on 105.3 The Fan said Lamb expressed optimism after Sunday’s loss that he would be able to play against the Packers in Week 4, but there is no chance of that happening.

Jones said that there’s been no determination about his status in either direction at this point, but since then others have come out and said that he will likely miss at least two games.

So as it stands, the Cowboys will be without Lamb on Sunday night against the Packers, and on the road against the Jets and Panthers, two teams that they should beat without Lamb and if they don’t, it is time to have a legit conversation about what is going on.

Turpin is likely to see a lot more work, same with Jalen Tolbert, so the next month and change are going to tell us a lot about this team.

We said they needed to get a guy like Pickens if this were to happen. Well, Dak Prescott, it is time to go make your money now, dude, because without Lamb it is going to be tough enough, as we saw against the Bears yesterday.

The team did say that they do not plan to place him on IR, but a major problem is still going to happen without him.

Should not be a shock if you saw the play and how his ankle got bent, you knew he wasn’t going to play vs the Packers. He is not Gumby. Luckily, they have the Jets and Panthers after that. Good luck to CD.

I think we’ll just have to wait and see when the Green Bay game comes!! I think Ceedee will try to play that game!! He came back out for a play against the bears and looked fine until he stepped wrong at the end of his route!! So maybe we’ll get lucky and he’ll be able to play!! If not, we still have a good offense, we just need to work the other players into the game!! I think losing Lamb messed up the whole offensive game plan against the bears and that’s why things looked so bad, but they will be able to prepare for the Green Bay game like Lamb won’t be playing so it’ll make it easier on them, and if Lamb is able to play, it’ll be a bonus!! But either way, I don’t think Lamb will miss much, I think he’ll do everything he can to get back on the field as soon as possible!! He don’t like sitting on the sidelines, so he’ll figure out a way to play sooner than everybody thinks!! But our offense is still good enough to beat Green Bay, even without Lamb, and the Browns proved that for us!! We just have to get our defense playing better, and I think we should run the ball more too!! But I’m ready for the next game, I can’t wait!! I don’t care if we lose or not, I’m just ready for another Cowboys game!!

CeeDee shouldn’t have been in the backfield, but how was Noah Sewell not flagged for an illegal tackle. This type of tackle was outlawed 2 years ago after devastating injuries to Dak and Tony Pollard. Replays show Sewell grabbed CeeDee by the shoulders and intentionally threw his leg over the back of CeeDee’s legs, causing his full weight to come down on CeeDee’s ankle. Now we are without our best player for multiple weeks. The NFL needs to enforce their own rules.

a Dallas Cowboys fan, since the 70’s with CeeDee Lamb injured it’s time for George Pickens to put up or shut up
