The Dallas Cowboys have selected Safety Donovan Wilson from Texas A&M with a sixth-round pick, 213th overall, in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Many felt the Cowboys would make safety their first pick in this draft, but apparently they’re happier with Jeff Heath, George Iloka, and Xavier Woods than most. Still, Wilson has a chance to compete for a roster spot.
Known for toughness and leadership, Donovan Wilson should compete with Kavon Frazier for a backup role. He’s considered to be limited in his coverage skills but is a hard-hitter that can hold his own down in the box.
Wilson gives the Cowboys their first 2019 rookie to come from a Texas school.
Congratulations to Donovan Wilson on joining the Dallas Cowboys!
