No sooner did the 2020 NFL season schedule release than we had betting lines for every week one game.

According to Caesars Palace, the Dallas Cowboys opened as 2.5 point road favorites over the Los Angeles Rams.

This will not only be the opening game for the Cowboys regular season, but it always be the first game at the new SoFi stadium in Los Angeles. Jerry Jones had a lot to do with bringing football back to LA, and his team is being rewarded with opening up the new stadium this Fall.

Considering this will be the first game of the year, with a new coaching staff following a strange virtual offseason, it’s pretty surprising to see the Cowboys as road favorites here. It speaks to how Vegas feels about this Cowboys roster early on, though many would argue Vegas over-valued the Cowboys for much of 2019 as well.

The Cowboys finished 9-7 against the spread in 2019, and were an even 4-4 on the road. Mediocre, as they were all season. They did, however, take it to the Rams in 2019, dominating them in Arlington 44-21.
