The Cowboys remained a juggernaut in fantasy football last week, feasting on the Commanders on Thanksgiving Day.
Dak Prescott led the charge with an impressive 42.75 points in standard PPR scoring formats.
Only Josh Allen's 48.40 was higher among all other players in the NFL for the week.
Prescott now has 331.65 points for the season, fifth among quarterbacks. Allen is also the top scorer in fantasy for the season.
Tony Pollard's 21.35 points continued his upward trend in recent weeks.
He is 10th highest among running backs.
Pollard ranks 15th overall among running backs for the year with 162.90 points. Christian McCaffrey is number one at 296.75.
Brandin Cooks (17.00) and CeeDee Lamb (16.75) led the Cowboys' receivers last week.
They ranked 18th and 20th respectively among NFL receivers for Week 12.
Lamb is 4th for the year among receivers with 260.05. Tyreek Hill leads the position for the year with 316.70 points.
Jake Ferguson's 4.75 points led the tight ends for Dallas – 24th for the position in the NFL.
Ferguson is 12th for the year among tight ends with 95.75 points.
Minnesota's T.J. Hockenson tops the position in fantasy at 175.10.
Brandon Aubrey's eight points tied him for 12th for the week. He would have been tied for ninth if not for the missed extra point.
Aubrey is sixth among kickers for the season with 109 points.
He trails Cleveland's Dustin Hopkins who leads all kickers with 123 points.
The Cowboys' defense – fueled by DaRon Bland's record setting fifth Pick Six – scored 22.10 points.
They were seventh among defenses for the week. The unit is the best for the season by 12 points over the Ravens who have a bye this week.
End Of Season Moves
If your team is locked in for the playoffs – or at least still in the hunt – or even if it isn't, there's still work to do.
Assuming your league still allows waivers – or even trades – make them.
Shoring up any weak areas is a must going into the playoffs. The same goes for your drive over the next two weeks to make the postseason.
But even if your season is over – assuming you're in a dynasty or keeper league – there's something you can try.
It's a strategy I've used in dynasty/keeper leagues when a team just doesn't have it.
Toward the end of the year I look for available rookies that have potential. Then I pick them up after dropping a low-scoring veteran.
Mind you, I'm still fielding the best team I can. I detest tanking and refuse to engage in it.
You owe it to the other owners to do your best to win every week.
But I'm filling my bench with a couple of possible players that might pay off down the line.
It's worked more than once for me in the past.
My FFL Week
I finally broke the double-header jinx and just at the right time.
While the Pigskin Fiction got swept in a double-header week for the third time this year, Scribe's Penman broke out the broom and won both games.
The Penman are now a half-game out of the division lead with two games to play.
Win both remaining games and the Penman (8-7) win the division as the season finale is against the current division leader.
They are the top scoring team in the league. I like my chances.
The Fiction on the other hand are 2-13 and have already sealed the No. 1 pick in next year's draft.
Such is life in fantasy football. Sometimes you get the bear, sometimes the bear gets you.
Speaking of the bear getting you, my third team is playing the role of spoiler to the hilt.
At 4-8 they are an extreme longshot to make the playoffs. But they've won two in a row and are beating teams in the hunt.
Like I said above. I don't believe in tanking and I do believe in trying to win every game no matter what the record is.
