We have finally made it to week one and the Dallas Cowboys head out to play the New York Giants in the first Sunday night football game of the year.
A lot has already happened this week, but the good news is, I think the Cowboys have still had the best offseason in maybe my life, and it is time to show it on the field and get start the season 1-0.
If we remember anything from last year, the first time these two teams played, it was the first to nearly 50 won the game. I don’t think it’ll be that type of game this year, but take a look at the info below. Not only will it show you how to watch and the odds, but my prediction as well.

The Cowboys are three-point road favorites to start the year and normally the home team gets the three points, so what they are telling you is that they think the Cowboys are really about a six-point favorite.
The line at three is probably right where it needs to be. I think this game is going to be a fun close game down to the wire. I would probably stay away from the winner or loser and if you want to make a bet on this game, I would still take the over 48.5.
Dallas is 78-48-2 all time against the Giants and have been really good since Dak has been around, but everyone seems to think that new Giants head coach John Harbaugh, who, by the way, got fired by the Ravens because he and two-time MVP Jamar Jackson couldn’t get it done, will change them.
Will Offseason Work Pay Off?
They got George Pickens to sign the tag and spend the entire offseason in the building, they got Big Q signed to a new deal early, and they brought back Javonte Williams.
They traded for Rashan Gary, drafted Caleb Downs, and brought in Von Miller, and Christan Parker. Can the Dallas Cowboys show that the offseason and what Jerry Jones did is going to work?
The early loss of Tyler Smith is going to have some noticeable issues on the offensive line to start, but I think T.J. Bass can step in and do a good enough job until the All Pro gets back, but it will look bad at times.

TJ Bass will be put to major tests, weekly.
Still, everything is right there for them and, with the offseason, they had no reason why this team should not at least start off 1-0 and take care of the Giants.
My biggest concerns are with the secondary still. Can DaRon Bland and the rest of the crew just be good enough in coverage even with the new-look defense? We will have to wait and find out on Sunday.
I fully expect this game to be good and think the Giants will be better than people think, but I am still rocking with the Cowboys to find a way to win this game on the road and start the year 1-0.
Defense should make a handful of plays and expect Caleb Downs to be all over the place. It looks like Malik Nabers is going to play. Brandon Aubrey will kick a clutch FG or two, but in the end I will take the Cowboys to continue to be above average in season-opening games.
The Cowboys start the season 1-0 without Tyler Smith. I’ll take Dallas 31-24.
