Cowboys Waive RB/FB Prospect Sewo Olonilua

The have waived developmental Fullback Sewo Olonilua. The former TCU running back has been with Dallas for two seasons since going undrafted in 2020.

After some brief usage as a , being activated for two games off the , Olonilua was back competing for a spot last year. A neck in the ended his bid and proved to be season ending.

It was expected that Sewo would return to compete for the fullback job against veteran and prospect Nick Ralston, or even the RB3 position with and other candidates. But for whatever reason, the Cowboys appear to be going another way.

It is quite possible that Nall, with much more experience and proven value, is already being seen as the team’s fullback for 2022. He was signed in early April after four-year stint with the .
